Staff were holding some food changing/ tasting event down stairs around customers, it was horribly loud, staff shouting and laughing so loud we couldn?t even talk. Very unprofessional, I understand they need to talk to staff and introduce new food etc, but do it out of hours OR close the top floor and do it out the way of paying customers. (We saw when we were
About to leave that the whole top floor was available for them to use or send customers up there?!) I?ve literally been listening to it because it?s hard not to hear, saying how things aren?t good value for money at the moment, what customers don?t like, what they are changing to make nicer because they aren?t good atm. All whilst we are eating??We felt stupid just sitting there. Even my young son kept saying why are they shouting so loud over and over again. ?Right then guys next dish is a blah blah blah.. are you listening? just terrible atmosphere, ruined our meal. The food wasn?t good either it was cooked within an inch of its life, added a photo, there was no pak Choi and the vegetables had zero colour except for the broccoli which was green, it just made it more obvious how overcooked it was. Son got a rash on his face after eating a plant based burger with there ketchup, they tried to say it was allergies but he has none, we have a restaurant near us that?s the same chain as the Truro lounge in leicester that?s 10x better, same menu etc no reactions, very bizarre. We received full refund.

Iv never had food poisoning
Iv had 6 amazing burgers from this establishment.. when I got to.7, I had the worst shots, my ass bleed. When I asked the staff what hat changed ed. They said "the chef".
They looked about 16 and just fired from McDonald's
So...they hire children, fodd was OK
Is, but iv seen some foreigner come into kitchen

So where I'm from, you go find a table, and give the number for reference of serving..
The staff bless them , just say give me your table number and come back to collect your food.

I am a regular visit to the lounge. I would give them five stars and everything. It's just my preference to have table ordering with a person rather than having to go up. Apart from that everything is really good from the food, service and atmosphere.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easily wheelchair accessible, with a toilet.

Very nice place , and what a bonus I had. They gave me a beer on the house. And a bowl of water for my dog . Very friendly staff. Recommend to anyone. Cheers to you the Lounge ??

Came in the lounge today. Not one hello even when I went to the counter to order. I had one smile from the manager serving me. Ordered and received food, chicken over cooked. I never received a guest check back. I than ordered dessert and did not even get any eye contact from the other manager a male. A little confused by today as normally it?s good in here. I felt like I should not be in there. I have reservations about re turning after today.

Been to Truro on many occasions but never knew it had a "Lounge." And bizarrely, it has been here for over 10 years !! Always a cut above the rest, this place did not disappoint. Nice ambience and situated over 2 floor's it is very cosy and welcoming. We just had toast and marmite/jam with their always delicious skinny latte's. Nice building in a nice town....

Everything was perfect on our visit. The staff were very busy but VERY helpful, efficient and all had smiles. Highly recommended and will be visiting again next time I'm in Truro.

Went here for dinner with a group of 13 of us and a dog which they kindly accommodated on short notice, the staff were very friendly.
They informed us there would be a bit of a wait for food as there were 2 other large parties at the time.
You get the menus at the table and then order food and drinks from the bar area, which was a bit of a wait there as well as there was only one person taking the orders. You also don't get an itemized receipt just a total paid.
When the food arrived we did have to remind the server about missing parts of our order and they didn't really seem sure of what they were doing tbf.
The food.. was delicious I had the Nasi Goreng which I highly recommend, others had a mixture of different foods, burgers and breakfasts which they all said was very nice.
The atmosphere was good until the wait staff turned the music up to a point it was too loud to hold a conversation on the table which is why we have not got full star ratings as other than that can't fault the place.
Parking: Parking is found in the multi story car park near m and s

All food came out together but one had been under a heat lamp for hours as the chicken burger was dry,uneadable and impossible to cut with a knife my family had finished there dinner by the time mine arrived £75 to eat my dinner on my own. Conco lounge in Newquay is way better the staff are friendly unlike Truro.
Asked about blue light card discount and I was told it wasn't accepted by who seemed to be the manager but after checking it's accepted if you order at the bar but not accepted if you order online which is what I was told to do at the time.
