Walkability: Walking to Towan beach is possible, but not practical with small children. The route involves a single track road. However, National Trust parking is available by the beach.

We hired 2 adjacent lodges for the family and 2 dogs. The lodges were immaculate, clean and well appointed. The view from our lodge was stunning and the peaceful and tranquil nature of the site so relaxing. The facilities on site were great for the kids, the pool and the walks. The only small critisism was for the childrens play area which was a little sparse. Close by Porthcurnick Beach is a must, it allowed dogs, had the Hidden Hut for food and toilet facilities and the beach was clean and not too crowded if you get there early. The Vine which is a mile up the road is fantastic for food and its relaxed and unhurried atmosphere was a wonderful experience for the children and dogs. The Watch House in St Mawes is not a long drive but again wonderful food and will happily allow dogs. Our week at Trewince finished too quickly and I do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a break from the hustle an bustle.

We have just returned from a 5 night Christmas stay at Trewince (in Trelissick). Fab lodge, very comfortable for 5 people. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, the sitting room very cosy and comfortable and all the bedrooms were comfy, clean and warm. Fab staff who were so accommodating and helpful. Great location for Towan beach and the village. We are Portscatho regulars and will definitely be back to stay at Trewince. Thank you! The pool and the sauna were excellent too and it was so great that we could bring our dog. Excellent value for money too.

Really nice holiday lodges in a 1st class spot. I only deducted 1 star as the decor in our lodge was a little dated, but the lodge itself is really clean and well maintained. Excellent indoor pool too!

Our lodge (timeshare) has recently been renovated and wifi installed (mobile signal is too poor to get much internet before) both of which increased our enjoyment. Kids love the playground, nice dog walk to the end with view of StMawes. Staff friendly. Pool clean. Pizza food truck tuesdays well worth pre-ordering for.

We stayed in Heron L15. The view is absolutely outstanding! Could stare at it all day. The lodge is lovely, very well decorated and it had everything we needed. The kids slept so well and so did we. Great swimming pool! Perfect size for the kids to play and get some swimming practice. It was nice and quiet whist we were there - we did go just before official school holidays though. Amazing view from above the Quay. The closest beach is 4 minutes drive and is beautiful! We also went to Carne Beach about 15 mins away- also lovely. St Mawes only 15 mins and also worth a visit. The staff were great and my parents are really looking forward to a break in September, sadly covid kept them from joining us this time.
