For a Saturday teatime, it was quiet, when we arrived - just passing, hungry and wanting food sooner than returning to base and making something. The barmaid was friendly and directed me to menus, so I could check there was enough choice.
They have very good outside cabins, where we could eat, too, so we were on!
A truly welcoming and charming pub in Shortlanesend. I stopped by The Old Plough for a quick drink and was greeted by the friendliest owner — he made me feel completely at ease and was a joy to chat with. His dog Leila was incredibly well-behaved and added such a lovely, warm touch to the visit.
