The team member who served me here in the Truro Store was fantastic, so lovely and had great service from her when being served by her here.
She straight away asked if she could as I first entered the store which is great to see.
You could see that she made all the other customers happy in the store when i visited on Friday 2nd August.

I wanted to let you know, but I?m sure I?m not the first - I can?t be, about the manager at the Truro store. I spoke to him briefly on the phone ahead of my visit as I wanted to exchange a body spray. It got really condescending and passive aggressive at the same time very quickly. He started to go on about how I should have had a consultation etc ( for a body spray ) and how they are such a low percentage of scent so almost what did I expect ? Well forward to my visit into the store and meeting the manager on my arrival for my exchange it was the same offhand vibe.
A lecture ensued about the strength of the body sprays and not to expected them to last and if I had had a consultation etc, I bought it on Sunday in the Plymouth store. Anyhow while I was getting this lecture, I replied where I could. But I had completely switched off at this point. It was deliberately made awkward at the transaction point as I had redeemed my rewards for my purchase, but after me re iterating that I would like to exchange the body spray for another, he reluctantly agreed. I went on to say that had the satsuma body spray formula changed as I had since read reviews on the website etc from other customers, to which he said unlikely. I replied with I have just read them and that body shop had in fact replied to some customers saying sorry etc for this and words to that effect. He then had the nerve to insult me and say that what I was saying was highly unlikely and that in fact the body shop never reply on reviews / the website !
I?m not a liar and the reviews for the satsuma body spray for the low star ratings have indeed got replied to. Overall a very offhand and awkward manager.

witnessed Wednesday 10th April 2024 In The Truro branch an awfully rude conversation between apparent male deputy manager and customer who was just politely asking about the potential closure of various Body Shop sites in particular Truro . she was being given a political personal view and reasons from the manager about the sale of the Body Shop business whereas out of concern she was purely enquiring if Truro was going to be closing. she did not want the ins and outs and his personal opinion just a mere yes, no, possibly, can?t comment whatever NOT the abuse we both got afterwards when i also asked same as I had also read in the media Truro was affected. He then rudely and loudly says did we believe everything we read in the papers and wasn?t a reply from an actual employee good enough. and then marched down the store blaspheming!! shocked the lady asked for his managers details to which he would not oblige. she was ushered out of the shop by her friend but was visibly upset, red in the face near to tears and we both couldn?t believe what had just happened. a truly unprofessional rant from a manager who tried to turn his bad behaviour on to us and saying we were being rude! whilst outside trying to calm this lady he then stormed down the shop and slammed the shop door in our
faces as if to say we were no longer welcome in the store. this manager may be fed up with customers keep asking him what is going on but in his position he needs to conduct his behaviour and response in a more professional manner and not get too in depth over the politics and the reasons behind the sale when asked we don?t need to know that. Sadly the stupid amount of money I was prepared to spend was promptly put back on the shelves and vow never to shop there again if he is present.

I've been using the Body Shop for almost 30 years and when I went into the shop today I was approached by a very rude sales man, I had intended to see if they had my usual monthly bought perfume as a set reduced as online and then do some Christmas shopping but he was so darn rude that I said thankyou for your help and walked out empty handed.... I found a shop called lush and spent over almost £200 it was a very different shopping experience with friendly staff and I'm definitely going back to the shop. If I return to purchasing goods from the body shop i will never enter a shop again i will only shop online extremely disappointed . But over the moon that I've found an awesome replacement shop . ?

Truly excellent service from Carys today. I came into the shop whilst on holiday looking for a camomile make up remover for waterproof mascara that i had seen online. Carys asked if she could help me and explained that the one i was looking for had been discontinued but went through the other products in the same range including the cleansing balm which she recommended. She also went through what products would be good to use after this. Really impressed with her knowledge and service. Excited to try her recommendations, especially the balm. Haven't shopped in The Body Shop for a long time but will be definitely be back and even opened a loyalty card account! Thank you.

I only deliver to Body Shop, but I find the staff kind and friendly. The shop is located in a beautiful little shopping area. The store is always clean a well presented and practising good covid safe procedures.
