Porthtowan shop has the friendliest and most lovely staff. They bend over backwards to help customers and have been incredible throughout the pandemic. I have also witnessed them having to put up with extremely rude and entitled visitors but they always remain polite and calm.

Absolutely shocking customer service I've ever received. I was refused entry for no face covering. I explained I have a medical exemption card at home, he told me "you had 15months to sort it" so I replied "by law I don't have to show you any evidence that I'm medically exempt,but my cards at home and I'm not allowed home as I'm fleeing domestic violence" he told me "I don't care what the law is" the woman was equally just as disgusting with the way she spoke to me "I don't care just get out" I was holding my baby in my arms and the man started to walk towards me to intimidate me out of the shop. They should be so ashamed of themselves. I'm a local and will tell everyone how vile they are.

Be aware this place does not follow government guidelines .Was refused entry because I can not wear a face covering and do not have exemption card.Government guidelines state If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering:you do not routinely need to show any written evidence of thisyou do not need show an exemption cardThis means that you do not need to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about your reason for not wearing a face covering.This shop would be wise to read the equality act 2010 regarding discrimination

This is a really cute town shop. Lovely staff, lots of selection for a very small shop but they have everything that you would need! They also offer a great range of alcohol, and local produce. They?ve done really well in making sure everything is covid secure and are incredibly friendly about maintaining social distancing.

Small welcoming shop and post office, with a wide variety of stock. Staff are politely managing the numbers in the store to help us keep safe. ??It's a shame they don't seem to stock any local beer ?
