“The store is very welcoming to everyone and the volunteers are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are pleased to chat and make you feel at home. Mary cooks a brilliant full English on Sundays and the rest of the week you can't fault her breakfast baps. In addition, full marks to all those who bake cakes and make soup (special mention for the lady who makes the pineapple fruit cake). All in all it is nice to see an enterprise run by and for the whole community.”

“A great village store, an "Aladdin's Cave"!! Plenty of choice in all sections of this really well stocked shop, including local produce. Pasties are always available & can also be ordered. Very friendly, helpful owners and staff. The Post office counter is a bonus.”

“I visited Porthtowan in September and lost my phone, being an optimist I hoped someone would get in touch. Hey presto I have just received a package with my phone in, the owners of this store have returned it to me. I don’t know who handed it in but would like to say thank you to all concerned. ??”

“Nice little store located on the main road with parking for 3 vehicles. Serves a variety of home made Quiche, Pasties and other savouries, besides the usual grocery items for daily use. Seems very popular going by the crowd when I visited at 1630 PM on a weekday.”

“Although, not known as a high end store, I find the quality of their products and the prices to be good.Probably the largest food store on Truro High St.Very good range of snacking foods if you are in a rush, pre-prepared fresh fruit and vegetables, sarnies, pies, bread, cakes, biscuits, chocolate, sweets.Cooked and uncooked meatsSome vegan, gluten free, low sugar, low fat, celiac, beer/wine/spirits & tobacco.And a lot more.However, parking in Truro is all carparks, but the carparks, are situated only a few minutes walk away from the high st.”

“Cheaper than driving to the next closest shop.As of the 1st Nov 2021, some shelves remain fully stocked whilst, increasingly, others are remaining empty or becoming emptied. It feels worrying when I see this, however I am confident that I won't starve, yet,,. There's tons of alternatives & plenty of fresh stuff.7am-10pm 365 (?) days a year .”

“Funny little corner store, which has a reasonable selection of products, to ensure you have a reasonable chance of finding what you want. Not necessarily the cheapest, but a godsend in the current Covid-19 situation.They are restricting the number of shoppers to 4...but in reality, this should be 2.”

“This store is great for picking up essentials with easy parking but do not attempt to send Yodel parcels from here - it never works - we try everytime and its an issue - 'we have the wrong paper in our printer - the sellotape is making it not work - it doesnt recognise the label' then we go straight to another store and scan them straight in - its got funny now it happens so often !!”

“The store was lovely, if you can park at this time of the year as many had parked in Tesco car park and gone into Truro. The store was quiet when we went in and easy to navigate around. Clean and tidy with good signage and plenty of manned tills open”

“Not sure what these reviews are on about. I have never found the staff to be rude. It's true I've occasionally seen the store run low on stock, but not essentials. It's also one of the few places you can choose from a whole range of Nourishment drinks. It's an entirely average corner store.”
