A great (and busy) Pharmacy who also have treatement rooms used occasionally by local GPs, vaccinations, District Nurses etc. I went there for my Covid-boost.

Whilst on holiday, my husband cut his leg and it wouldn't stop bleeding. We went to Carbis Bay pharmacy as it was close to where we were staying. We wanted to buy some large plasters and asked a lady behind the counter if they had any. She asked what they were for and my husband showed her his wound. Without further ado, she told him to sit down whilst she got together steristrips and a dressing, then she cleaned and dressed his cut with such care. We just wanted to say a very big thank you to Christina, you are an angel and a great asset to the Pharmacy. Thank you again, we really appreciate everything you did for us.

While I appreciate that the staff are under pressure as they have taken on a lot of new customers and that it is difficult to get medications from main suppliers, this is no excuse for some of the staff to be so very awful, no compassion and not willing to offer any helpful advice at all. Whilst normally having a wait/que of 15 mins when you get to the front of the que to be told that the repeat prescription that you ordered 10 days before has an important medication missing is a little frustrating, when asking when the stock may be in, to be told, next week, next month, next year, not really acceptable, then when trying to explain that this medication/tablet is specific to the other medication you take and can?t be changed, then to be told go back to your g.p and get them to change your other medication, not a viable solution, admittedly this part is my fault, I didn?t realise that if I had other medication on the same prescription as my hrt medication my pre paid certificate is void and I still have to pay, when I said that I was sure that it had come through before like this and I didn?t have to pay, (it did and I didn?t ) I was told if that was the case then they would have to charge me double as I should have paid before!! Ok, so now, I am in tears, money is tight and I don?t know if I have enough to cover, I hand over my card, whilst crying and a very kind customer handing me a tissue, I then say, as I am the only person at the till and I am now very embarrassed and upset, please could I just pay and leave and was met by a sharp dismissive tone of I am working as fast as I can, as stated I was the only one at the till. This pharmacy used to be one of the best, if you had asked me what pharmacy I would recommend it would have been here, not anymore, I am now changing pharmacies and am looking in to putting a formal complaint in as well. Trust me when I say there are a lot of other customers that feel exactly the same as I do, please don?t go here.

In really trying circumstances, this pharmacy always goes out of their way to help. We are moving away, but I wanted to say thank you for all you've done for us and my parents over the last few years. Thanks you.

Brilliant. I was on holiday and picked up an infection that required a prescription only cream. I?d already been turned away from multiple local places of help but managed to get prescribed directly through carbis bay pharmacy. It?s a great service!

I booked a blood test here 2 weeks ago, and they cancel 90 minutes before it's due to be collected... really wasted my day which I took off for this appointment. Not realise and trustworthy.

I booked an appointment at Carbis Bay Pharmacy via the NHS app for a covid vaccine as apparently according to the NHS this was my nearest vaccine centre. I live in Newquay - to travel to Carbis Bay by bus takes around 3 hours. So I was far from pleased to be told on arrival that they had no vaccine and was told to come back in around 2 hours when the vaccine would have arrived. So I walked around Carbis Bay and returned to the Pharmacy to be told the vaccine was still in St Austell and about one hour away. I gave up and returned home by bus. I left home at 8.15am and returned home at 5pm, the day totally wasted. The appointment had been booked several days before the scheduled appointment time and the pharmacy had my name, phone number and date of birth - how difficult is it to have the correc vaccine in stock, its not like I arrived unexpectedly! I did notice later that they had texted me at 11am to reschedule the appointment - but didn't notice this on my phone and in any event attempting to reschedule with around an hours notice is hardly reasonable: I was already on my second bus ride. Considering most people who are being vaccinated are aged 75+ and medically vulnerable, I think this an unacceptable service. The nurse providing the service did say he had had a "frustrating day". But I'd bet not half as frustrating as mine!!!

All the staff here are exceptionally helpful and friendly. They also sell eco friendly products,reducing unnecessary plastic. I'm so pleased that this is my local chemist.

We are very lucky to have Carbis Bay pharmacy. Always there to help and advise and very quick to deliver vaccination and Covid walk-ins.

Went there today. Due to pandemic it is a 1 way system. I was being attended to by one of the staff and whilst I was standing there waiting to ask for my medication, another member of staff called over my shoulder to the person standing behind me and said "Can I help you?" So I am standing there already and the woman behind me steps forward to respond to the other member of staff - so where am I supposed to go? And who is respecting my space? You might as well have told me to get out of the way because I'm holding things up. So I get shoved over to the side until the other staff member returns! Plus I had to ask to get out of the shop because I was trapped in the corner with another customer queuing behind and another blocking the exit at the counter. Didn't feel safe so I won't be back. I have a choice of pharmacies and I will be using Boots in Hayle in future - at least there is space there and the staff are not so rude.
