Terrible company/customer serviceBooked a holiday, apartment filthy, tried to complain but wouldn?t answer phone and stopped replying via WhatsApp.Finally managed to get into a dialog with someone following the holiday, instead of acknowledging the facts and the evidence presented (photos, screenshots of WhatsApp, phone log) I was just constantly told I was lying and that it didn?t happen.Unbelievable

It was auch a fantastic stay at sandsifters III. Everthing was so extraordinary clean, tidy and comfortable.We stayed there with a Baby and everything we needed was already there: highchair, sterilizer and even a stairgate. The towels, sheets and blankets were all really fresh and fluffy.The kitchen was equipped very well, better than at Home :) The view was just stunning, The Place more than spacious. We will definitely come back and can recommend Carbis Bay Holidays and Sandsifters III 100%

Where to start? We were kept waiting right up to the 4pm check in time on the Saturday that we arrived. We watched the cleaners leave and when we entered the property all of the floors were soaking wet, a good sign we thought, how wrong we were. This property has not seen a vacuum cleaner for some time, it was filthy. In the kitchen, the fridge door was plastered in greasy fingerprints with crumbs all over the floor. The pots and pans were greasy and had not been cleaned properly, the colander had the previous guests vegetables stuck to the side of it. All of the laminate floor is warped and lifted so much that you struggle to close the bedroom door with a dangerous plank sticking up that you could easily trip over. As we entered the bedroom there was a discarded contact lens on the floor. The grime under the door bar leading into the walk in wardrobe had been there for some time it seems. There is a hole in the wall leading into the bedroom as well. The bathroom floors had dirt all over them and the bath had not been cleaned. Into the lounge area, the table has a glass top with food under it, muck and grime all over the chrome legs. You could write your name in the dust under the television unit that had not been hoovered for some time. The sofa is quite another story. It is ripped and split, with pen marks over it, and the remnants of the previous guests dinner on it. The balcony had not been swept and the furniture that ?is perfect for al fresco dining? must have been picked up at the local boot sale, I have never seen such ugly cheap looking patio furniture in my life. I would like someone to show me how you get four people sat round the table. In short, this place is not five stars, as awarded by Visit England, in my experience it is in fact a dirty, uncared for property that cost us £2, 800 for the week. I asked Sykes to get the cleaners back which, to their credit, they did quite quickly. The girl that came back was embarrassed at the state of the property, and, rightly so. She was one of three cleaners that arrived at 2.30 on the day we arrived. When I called Sykes on the following Tuesday (no call from them to me) to ask what they were going to do I was told that I should have expected damage to the property as it is ?near the end of the season?. This is totally unacceptable. When you pay this sort of money for accommodation, I do not expect to have to compromise on the quality of it just because the season is nearly over. Naturally I asked for some sort of compensation given that in reality, we were not able to check in until the cleaner had left at 6.30 and to reflect the poor condition of the property. I also asked the owner to come and see me so that they could see the condition of their property. The owner never arrived and we were told that a refund of £125 was their final offer. The bottom line is that Sykes don't really care, the owner doesn't care as they get their money anyway. I have contacted Visit England and sent all of the 21 photographs that I took. I will NEVER book through Sykes again and I would urge you NOT to stay at this property, it is not five star and definitely not worth the money we paid.

Before covid came, we used to go every year. A bit expensive but the two apartments that we used to stay in, were great!

Awful company. We booked with Carbis Bay holidays, would never book again! The apartment had not been cleaned, toilets were dirty, plugs clogged with hair & dirt, kitchen dirty, floors dirty. Bed covered in hair. We spent 2 hours on arrival cleaning & changing beds.I complained to Carbis Bay holidays & Sykes Cottages (partner) they dismissed my complaint, ignoring the issues and said ?thank you for your feedback? ?They boast great service & want satisfied customers, value customer feedback ?. All pointless, they are not interested.This is appalling for a 5 star company offering luxury accommodation. It?s a joke, they are happy to take your money but really don?t care. No standards & no adhering to Covid sanitisation rules.Avoid at all costs!

Shocking! Arrived at holiday accommodation in Carbis Bay, the place was dirty, full of mould everywhere including beds, wardrobes, inside kitchen cupboards where crockery is stored and hairs in beds! Sat on sofa for night and left next morning after finding alternative accommodation. Customer service is non existent as company is now run by Sykes cottages, waited 45 minutes to get through then no one rings you back, no response from emails, no apology, i rang and emailed them every day, finally got a refund. Maybe this office should go back to being independent as run by Sykes is awful! Use at your own risk!

Excellent company, we were unable to travel at Easter due to ongoing restrictions, following cancellation of our travel plans Carbis Bay arranged an immediate refund to us in full. Great customer service, you can have full confidence booking with them.

We arrived to apartment Onshore to find it mouldy,very dusty , decking filthy. Mould climbing up bedroom walls and in bathroom.Side of bunk beds all along skirting disgusting. Reported it to office who sent caretaker back to rectify problem. Bathroom door did not close or lock. Clean bedding under bed not in sealed bags. Should be to prevent covid infection.Weeds all around front of apartment. Asked for a refund from owner. Agents still unable to contact them for a reply.Will not use this Company again as they are certainly not 4 star.

Customer service is poor, slow reply to emails and a booking fee of £25 even though you book it yourself online!! Apartments are lovely.. wont be staying with them again. Check in should have been 3pm and now moved to 5pm!! (We have a toddler). Check out moved to 9am instead of 10am. No reimbursement for the changes!!

I cannot praise the hardworking staff at CBH enough for all of their support during these difficult times. Booked a holiday for 11th April this year... Luckily we was able to reschedule for mid July, which was a very smooth process. However due to a family member having to shield, we contacted CBH to reschedule again for the following year. They were very accommodating and understanding. I cannot understand some of that negative comments CBH have received as I have found them to be so professional, dedicated to helping families achieve their holiday dreams. I'm so looking forward to my holiday next year, where I know I'll be in safe hands!

We didn't actually make it to our weekend away, thanks to Co-Vid and local restrictions, but I couldn't recommend a more professional service. Stayed here several times and never disappoints. Always immaculately clean and well appointed. Incredible views across the Bay, a minute from train station where you can be in St Ives in 3 mins. Cannot overstate benefit of being able to walk a few minutes to beach either as parking in Carbis Bay is always limited. This also means the beach isn?t overcrowded. Calm seas for little ones, paddle boards and kayaks available to hire and an ice-cream, drink and takeaway counter. Some rocks for crabbing off. Food? Takeaway fish and chips up on main road, La Casitas amazing Spanish restaurant and you can get lovely pizza takeaway from restaurant by the beach too.

Fantastic stay, the beach apartments are out of this world , the view is stunning, watching the seals play in the sea was just amazing. The staff and the food was outstanding . Just perfect.cant wait to go back .
