This is a proper local pub. It's not a michelin star restaurant, but it's also not rubbish. Staff nice, food was good pub grub. Tribute Ale on hand pull was well kept. Go here, and enjoy it for what it is. It's real, not fancy. Honest. I'd go again.

Well after years of visiting the village to enjoy bugle band contest and always using the local pub I can most definitely say I won?t be again! The toilets are unusable I?ve never smelt anything so DISGUSTING! The staff were not confident and slow! There were youths in there drunk just not enjoyable evening!

Customer service from all staff we came across was woeful? it?s almost as though they don?t want tourists to stay. Nice room but at £100 per night for the family room I kinda expected that they might at least make the beds and change the towels. Staff all seem to be very inexperienced and not interested in what they are doing. Breakfast is good (when you get it) nut even when telling the manager we had to leave at a certain time and asking how long breakfast would be (he told us 10 mins), 30 mins later we were still waiting which made us late to where we were going. A young lad then came over and asked us what we wanted to order! All very haphazard which is a shame.

We recently called in at The Bugle Inn for a quick bite and we were so impressed with our lunch. Not only was it beautifully presented, it had obviously been prepared using very fresh ingredients and with care. It was delicious and substantial and great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our ploughman's lunch and chicken and stuffing sandwiches. The real ale went down well too. Would highly recommend. Massive thanks to the staff, especially to the wonderful person who prepared this tasty feast for us. Best lunch in ages!

This is one of a dying breed of pubs that still operate as pubs. There are tables for food service but it is also still well used a local pub. The beer was well kept and the food was standard pub fare, with a good selection, well cooked and plenty of it. I never really expect to see salad on a pub menu, as it won't go in the fryer, but the salad here was fresh, varied and plentiful. Just don't tell my mates that I ate the salad - just stick to the beer story.

We were staying nearby for a few days, and after day trips I called in a couple of times for a pint. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pub was warm and cosy with a log burner in use. I did not eat here during this holiday. The Bugle Inn is primarily a locals pub (though it does have rooms), and got quite lively early on Friday and Saturday evening, so if we were planning to eat here we would avoid those nights,

This village pub in the Cornish village of Bugle was probably originally two rooms but is now one open plan area with a lounge area set to tables to the left of the central bar and a more public area to the right with pool table and dart board. Interestingly the pub takes its name from the bugles used in the days of horse drawn stagecoaches and came first as as coach stop, with the village forming later around and taking its name from the former coaching inn. Three St Austell ales were on for our visit in the shape of Tribute , Cornish Best and Hicks and the couple we tried were well kept. We came here to eat and there is a fairly standard pub reasonably priced food menu available and what we had was good for the price. This is a friendly locals pub with good service levels. The only real issue we found is that it?s not the biggest of pubs and it?s difficult to escape the conversation of the locals engaged in vertical drinking around the bar.

Arrived last night as was watching a band at the Eden project (10 min drive away) went to the bar and then shown to our room (family room) it was bright, clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk etc. After arriving back from concert we had a couple of drinks in the bar felt comfortable with the "locals" it felt like a real country pub atmosphere. After sleeping in the comfiest bed ever, we went down to have one of the best breakfasts I've ever had, you could have anything on the menu cooked how ever you liked. Yes, it's not the plaza and a bit "lived in" but it was clean, warm and i would have no problem staying here again, in fact I will book it if we ever go to Eden project again.

Did not dine here due to late arrival, but 4 of us stopped for a night in the family room. Staff were excellent: friendly and helpful. Covid safe bar area with games available (pool, board games etc). Good choice of drinks and let us eat food from elsewhere there as their kitchen had closed. Would definitely recommend.
