Tonight was our worst experience eating here.
We are local and have used the pub many times and have always been happy with the service and quality given to us.
Tonight we eat in the restaurant with friends, we were not offered any drinks to be brought to the table. All our meals had to be sent back due to be being served warm ( not hot at all). No desserts were offered at all. On leaving noticed one bar person singing karaoke the other outside smoking. It?s not good enough.

Evening meal, good quality food but served like warm. General service slow - never offered a drink whilst in the restaurant and never offered desert!
Usually service is good tonight has been poor!

Very cosy hotel. The only downside is the food, which seems to be microwave heated sometimes. They provide food as a mandatory effect rather than having proper checfs and restaurants. Overall, good hotel for travel. 10 minutes from the New Eden Project. And the value is great.

If you need to visit St Austell then you could do worse than stay here. There is a small free secured carpark to the rear. The hotel is old so no lifts, multiple floors not always on the same level, stairways are narrow as well. Reception is not 24 / 7, so if arriving late or leaving early you need to make arrangements. The bar and restaurant is well served. The breakfast was nice, the hotel allows walkins for lunch and dinner and it is popular, given the limited options locally it is not surprising. The room was adequate but small, good size bathroom, with shower over the bath. Would I stay there again yes.

Used the pub many times over the years but today was the worst experience I have ever had in any public house.
Went in with a friend of mine the bar tender pulled one pint and I said no I want two pints,
I went up a second time to be served, two young boys not long out of school.
I was stood waiting at the bar with no response from the two young boys.
One was speaking to a person and the other one stacked glasses with no intention of serving me.
You need to give the staff a kick up the behind or better still replace them

Stayed for just one night. Room was fine, big bathroom, bed and pillows very comfortable. Nice bar and restaurant, evwning food was ok, generous breakfast. The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

The incredible hospitality and warm welcoming made my first trip to Cornwall so much more memorable. The food was outstanding and there were plenty of options. Although the rooms were small, it added to the overall vibe of the place and were very clean and comfortable. Shout out to Andrew for your impeccable service and Jack for making dinner a barrel of laughs.

Nice 5 night stay at the White Hart. Comfortable room and a great variety of breakfast options. Staff are friendly and helpful. Optional evening meal is also available, and is excellent.

The worse hotel I've ever stayed in the managed is rude and only wants the money. even chucked a mental health break down onto the street and made her husband choice between the hotel or his wife that suffered a mental health episode.
There's a dark haired fella that works in there and hes very rude with his unlawful comments.
Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
In all the time I was staying here only ever seen 1 house cleaning person was made to change my own bed and borrow the hoover to hoover room.
Main manager is raking in the money but is taken advantage of people that are staying here.
Room only had a microwave so wasn't really able to cook much at all and couldn't afford to eat in the hotel all the time as the prises are sky high.
