The Waterwheel is very clean and fresh, the staff are very friendly. The selection and quality of the food both for breakfast and evening meal was marvellous, I would highly recommend it if needing to stay in the local area

A lovely b and b and resturant. The twin room I shared was well spaced, and all the amenities you'd expect.
I had the fish pie, which was delicious. The breakfast choice was wide, with hot, cold and vegetarian.
If you like gardens/gardening, check out the back garden that has lots of seating areas.
I would enjoy staying again.
Rooms: There is a twin room with separate single beds.
Nearby activities: St Austell, the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Hiligan, lots of beaches

Nice atmosphere all round with plenty of parking. The garden is a good size and a good place to chill on a nice day. The staff were really nice and the breakfasts were great
Rooms: Lovely and clean rooms with good facilities. Found the bed mattress not that great to be honest, but that was the only thing that could be improved on.

Probably one of the nicest hotel we have stayed in. Worth the near on 200 mile drive. Fantastic hosts & staff. Fantastic food. Nicest garden by far.
Rooms: Excellent, fantastic views. Spacious and clean.
Nearby activities: So many, spoilt for choice.

We have just returned from The Waterwheel after staying there for 3 nights for our 1st wedding anniversary. We were taken back by the beautiful and stunning grounds, the hotel decor and our delightful room which had stunning views of the gardens. (We had room 12). The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were quiet sad to leave.
Rooms: Our room was clean tidy and very spacious with ensuite. We had stunning garden views with the sound of the waterfall helping us relax.
Nearby activities: We visited The Eden Project and really enjoyed a day out in nearby Mevagissey.

Went here for an evening meal based on reviews and so glad we did. A warm welcome from very friendly staff who gave us a choice of tables. Once seated we gave our food order and our starter was on the table within a very short time, which were the very tasty chicken skewers. This was followed by our mains and desserts, we were so impressed with the service and quality of food.....and 12" vinyl records for place mats! How cool is that! We can't comment on the rooms as we weren't staying, but I should imagine they are good as well. Highly recommended and no problem giving this Inn 5 stars.
Food and drinks: I recommend the chicken skewers and sirloin steak.

Honestly one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Plentiful parking, stunning views, tidy and clean rooms, a lovely Lounge with a great bar and food to die for.
The gardens are lovingly done and make for a superb backdrop to breakfast in the conservatory, with ready and easy access to the Eden Project.
Can wholeheartedly recommend!

Beautifully renovated building with a beautiful subtropical garden (still a work in progress). Correct owners and friendly staff. Very nice dinner. Room OK, small bathroom, but with good shower.
Located along a fairly busy road.

A very lovingly furnished bed and breakfast located by a stream. Very friendly staff. Be sure to try the restaurant and walk through the garden. We had a very nice time.
