Great value, there's a car park at the back and the menu offers a range of good pub food at sensible prices. It definitely more like a local pub than a tourist restaurant. We used this as a place to stay when visiting the Eden Project.

Excellent pub great atmosphere. Food was excellent as was the service. Dined twice during our stay in Cornwall. The second time went out of our way to return.

We had a roast dinner there it was awful. The carrots and roast potatoes had a rather peculiar taste and the Yorkshire pudding was burnt. The whole place needed a make over and a game of pool was going on whilst we were eating about 6 to 8 feet away. The carpet was filthy.

If you're looking for a 5star hotel and peace and quiet, don't bother. But if you are like me and don't mind somewhere that is not perfect look no further. This may not be a 5star hotel, nor do I expect it to be, but it is a 5star proper boozer with a 10star chef. The entertainment while we are here is a woman named Sophie, better than the majority on BGT. The staff are out of this world, so helpful and accomodating. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a proper boozer with decent entertainment and appreciates fine food.if I'm ever down this way again I'd try and book here first.Food & drinks: Exceptional food.

This is a proper local pub. It's not a michelin star restaurant, but it's also not rubbish. Staff nice, food was good pub grub. Tribute Ale on hand pull was well kept. Go here, and enjoy it for what it is. It's real, not fancy. Honest. I'd go again.

Fantastic room, immaculate condition. Comfortable and a lovely bathroom and shower. Breakfast was top notch too, and the people were courteous and friendly friendly. Strongly recommend.

Impromptu stop off at Sunday lunch time for food and a pint, only offering roasts which suited me but not the wife's favourite, however both her chicken and my pork was perfectly cooked, presented and delicious.Great value, well worth a visit for a roast! ?
