Wowsers what a wonderful fish and chips!
After a walk through Kingswood with the pups. Stopped off and had dinner. It is a wonderful seaside pub with good food and brilliant service.
Would love to come again.

We popped into The Ship Inn in Pentewan for a couple of beers and wines and were so glad we did. It?s a beautiful old Cornish pub, full of character with a cosy, old-school charm and a nicely laid-out interior. There was a great selection of beers, wines, and ales, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed drink.
Although we only ordered a portion of chips and some bread, both were fresh and tasty?and the rest of the menu looked very tempting too. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it?s clearly a well-loved local spot.
We?d highly recommend stopping by if you?re in the area whether for a drink, a meal, or just to soak in the character of a lovely traditional Cornish pub.

We arrived on time to find our table hadn?t been cleaned: ketchup and sticky. I ordered steak which was lovely but the accompanying onion rings were so greasy I couldn?t eat them.
No one asked if our food was okay or came to take our dirty plates away. After a decent amount of time we left and won?t return to eat again.
I think there is a lack of attention to detail from a service point of view and the smell of grease would suggest that the cooking oil the chef uses far exceeds its best before use.
Nice pub, overrated as somewhere to eat.

We reserved a table and arrived on time but our table hadn't been cleaned. There was sauce and sticky marks on it. The pub was fairly quiet so no excuses for this. The burgers looked as if they were frozen cheap burgers. They were greasy and inedible. You can smell the dirty grease from the kitchen when you walk past as if the oil in the fryer probably hadn't been changed for a while. Our dirty plates were not taken away from in front of us so we sat a while waiting thinking we would be asked if the food was OK. No one came to us so we left. We will not eat there again nor recommend eating there. It is a nice little pub though apart from this.

Loved The Ship .and the food only thing wrong !!!!! Afterwards we wanted to walk it off along the coast with out mut Hugo and there were No Dogs beyond this point Signs both ways
So we wasted the £4 we paid in the carpark

Just want to say how shocked I was. I ordered a small portion of chips to eat outside, received 15 chips in a cracked bowl and was charged £6. This is scandalous as you can get portion of chips in Richk Stein for £3.95.

Watch out for the birds in the beer garden.
