Having been a Specsavers customer for years and had problems with some varifocals the last two visits plus the complicated prices we thought we would try Asda opticians, what a pleasant experience, the frame prices include everything whether single or varifocal lenses, the only extra was my transitions. Two pairs of varifocals and one varifocal sunglasses all for £260 whereas I had to go to Boots in covid and paid £270 for one pair, it's Asda for us now.

Would not recommend to anyone, waited for 30mins only to be told the soup offer for o.a.p.sWhich was advertised everywhere in cafe did?nt start until next day!So paid 11:00 for same food on offer then waited another 20 mins for soup but had to wait another 10 mins for staff to wash up 2spoons as no cutlery at stationClearly a shortage of staff, one lady on till and a young chap doing everything else! Will not be going here ever again.Did try and complain but was told cafe is contracted out ,not Asda responsability! No contractor manager there to complain!

We have used this branch of ASDA for click and collect and a delivery to our pitch at a campsite during a 10 day stay in the area, and I can?t fault them at all. Brilliant service and good products - ALTHOUGH short life span on milk, which is annoying.

I bought two lovely pairs of glasses, from Asda St Austell, which I collected today. The service and experience was outstanding. The staff were professional, supportive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Their friendly manner made the whole experience streamline.I would highly recommend Asda opticians.Thank you all so much.

Have shopped in Asda St Austell for many years and alway has very pleasant staff .. But tonight the lady in the pharmacy should to be honest sort her attitude out .. asked her nicely ruffly how long it would be till I could collect the medication .. as had been waiting for 30min to then to be rudely told it will be done when it?s done ok , now please move back !! May be I am over reacting.. it doesn?t cost anything to be polite

I arrived at the Asda on Sunday morning, I thought it was about to be a pleasant day (I was planning on doing some golf with my pals). I went to the vedge isle and I seen "grab as many as yee want potatoes." So I started loading my trolley with potates and some fella came behind me and detained me. I was sitting about to be interviewed for shoplifting, and I got peckish. I reached into my pocket and grabbed a potato. It was peeled! The man who groped me must have peeled all my potatoes. I took a bite anyway because I was starvin' and a pack 'e' maggots started crawling down my throat. The bizzies offered me a sick-bag but, after 24 hours in solitary confinement I was finally let go. Will not be going again! (I can't legally anyway)

Picked up my new glasses this morning, and I cannot praise St Austell branch enough. The staff went above and beyond in every part of the service that I have received in the past 2 weeks. Great service. Lovely glasses.

If your eyesight is bad enough they don't charge at all for thinning the lenses!!!!! I just couldn't believe it...never will I go any where else for glasses now.

We visited here at the start of our holiday and I can honestly say some of the staff were just plain rude, when I asked where something was they just waved a arm in a general direction, people stacking shelves glared if we dared to get something from where they were working and the lady who served us was so miserable, didn't once try and engage in any conversation, smile or look happy. We spent a considerable amount of money over £200 but did not return to a Asda for the rest of the week and actually avoided it going to other well known supermarkets who actually value their customers. I feel really disappointed in Asda and expected more, ok we are not locals, this may or may not have been the reason for the poor customer value, but I am a customer, really let yourselves down Asda.

We have been in a lot of Asda stores but this is the worst we have ever been in. We were on holiday and my husband lost his inhaler so we went to the pharmacy here and asked if we could buy one. The person he explained the situation to told him he would have to go to his doctor and ask him to issue a prescription. He told them we were 300 miles from home so she told him to phone them up and ask them to send the prescription to the pharmacy. Yeah, right - at seven o'clock at night!! I then went to the kiosk to get our lottery tickets and the male assistant on there was downright rude with a terrible customer service ethic. Luckily another holidaymaker where we were staying lent him an inhaler and no I didn't win the lottery!! Avoid this store at all costs.

This instore cafe has improved dramatically over the past few years I've just popped in with my daughter they were patient as she wasn't sure what she wanted the breakfast was really nice came out in good time cant grumble over the service I think a lot of the time you get back what you give out Sunday morning breakfasts are served by happy capable staff.
