“Hi, I currently work at the store and Post Office. We have had some fairly severe staffing issues. Whilst the shop will remain open with its 'normal hours', the Post Office will shut earlier. Over the next few weeks the Post Office only will close on a daily basis between 16/16h30. As new staff are trained, after receiving the relevant clearances (in itself a lengthy affair), the opening hours will return to 'normal' or closer to normal. Please note, the training is not something that is accomplished in just a few hours, it is a complex system. Interestingly there is no statutory requirement for us to open until 22h, we do so, when able, because we believe that this service is important for the community.”
