Excellent food friendly staff great place to eat

During my recent holiday nearby, I visited this pub, which was conveniently within walking distance. It appeared to be a pleasant establishment; I enjoyed the cider and the meal. However, my experience the following day was quite different. Upon ordering drinks, I inquired about the presence of spice in a menu item. The staff member's response shifted from confusion to stating they were not taking orders due to having multiple tables, despite the venue being relatively quiet with only four occupied tables. Based on this second experience, I would advise caution for anyone considering a visit if they are holidaying nearby, as it may lead to disappointment.

Lovely fresh homemade food. Everything was homemade, including the mash and the chips. Very reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. My family don't usually finish all their meals, but everything got demolished here, including puddings, that speaks volumes for how lovely the food was. Would highly recommend the Beef Brisket Pie or the Fish pie.

The food is so good, and the portions are really good. We went in a couple of times when we stayed in the area recently. Definitely worth a visit and I would highly recommend the Notter Bridge Inn for its location, food and unique character.

Lovely food, took my Old Dear for her 70th and she loves it. Massive portions of food. Hard to get hold of for a booking via phone.

Beautiful country pub , attractive interior, outdoor seating , friendly attentive staff , menu was on a black board not a huge selection but enough , food was delicious, obviously home made , looked beautiful on the plate the chef is obviously proud of his work, ample portion, only thing we found was the children's meals were actually small adults meals like the fish was strips of real fish in batter and the chicken strips were huge , too much for the children so most of it was wasted unfortunately, but you can't grumble about the quality you really do get what you pay for .

Friendly welcome and lovely interior decor. Great choice in menu, at reasonable prices. Quality of food was excellent, presented well and adequate quantity, in your plate. Chips or jumbo home made fries where lovely, not had them this size before. Fish chunky cod, burgers home-made & top class....Very happy, glad we went here on a recommendation, as will be going back. Thanks
