We visited here during the Easter holidays and found out that we couldn?t get onto the beach as my son is in a wheelchair. One of the guys that works there told us about the beach wheelchair which we could loan and he even helped get my son onto the beach as I had my other son with my who was in a buggy. The service and help we received was outstanding and we were very thankful that we could enjoy the beach!

Have been coming to this shop for many years and since the change of owners it is one of my favourite shops in the whole of Cornwall. Coffees, pasties, cakes etc. are all fantastic. The shop has a lovely vibe inside it and there is also a nice seating area outside. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. You can also hire boards, wetsuits etc if you wish. Can't tell you how nice this place is, would highly recommend.

Delicious ice cream, not the cheapest but a great portion size! Took allergies seriously with nutty ice creams stored in a separate freezer with a different scoop - very reassuring.

If you are walking the coast path you will be delighted to reach Portcothan Bay and find the stores open, which it is every day. Whether it?s the thought of an ice cream, a piece of cake or one of their good range of hot pasties that has been keeping you going whilst you walk the rugged coastline you will find them all in the store.
There are a few tables outside or you can always sit on the beach
