Requested to adopt a dog. Quick vetting process. Prompt contact and kept informed. When a dog became available and we visited, everyone friendly and willing to answer all questions. Our adoption was successful, and aftercare was brilliant and supportive. Would highly recommend.

They are an absolute joke of a company. Probably the worst I have ever dealt with. Awful.

A few weeks ago, we printed off, completed and delivered the registration form to adopt a cat we had selected on the website. We expected a call to say that someone was coming to vet us. We live in an idyllic, safe location, four acres of garden, far from roads etc. and with no other pets, with plenty of prior cat- owning experience, exactly what they were asking for for this particular cat. However, the cathas now been reserved and has been taken off the website. We have received no communication whatsoever. No one had the manners to tell us the cat is no longer available so we could look elsewhere . Why? There are currently supposed to be so many unwanted animals due to people buying in the pandemic or not being able to afford to keep them in the cost of living crisis. We are lucky enough to be able to offer a lovely, loving environment, but were not even considered.Further to writing the above, we have now seen the branch Facebook page from October 26th stating that this particular cat was being constantly overlooked by potential adopters because of toxiplasmosis, yet this was over a week after we had applied, so why were not considered or given the option? We were not ?overlooking? this cat. Had we been vetted and rejected , this would have been acceptable, but no. Timewasters!

This is a lovely place to visit, they are self funded so need all the help they can get. It costs £600,000 a year to run this facility. The volunteers are so caring. SO many animals need loving homes if it wasn't for this centre, who knows where these animals would end up.

Waste of time asked to re-home a dog and they said that we would be reviewed phoned five days later curt and no interest this does not reflect well on the RSPCA.
