Our recent meal from New Garden Chinese Restaurant left much to be desired. The Egg Foo Young was unfortunately rubbery and inedible, requiring a return for a refund. The ribs were disappointing, consisting more of slimy bone than any substantial, juicy meat. The chicken curry was remarkably bland, a doppelganger for a supermarket ready-meal. Lastly, the 'chow mein' was questionable at best, featuring rather unappetizingly stirring noodles. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

First time having a Chinese while on holiday in Cornwall, an I must say it's one of the best I've had. Drove to pick order up, which wasn't to far. Great staff service on picking oder up.

Opening times very hit and miss close for 2 weeks then say open from 2nd June to find out they still closed, several times this has happened and isn?t good customer service they need to open on the days they specify

IDENTITY CRISIS,
Is it a pub/restaurant/takeaway/converted living room,strange circle of chairs acting as a barrier,shouting across to the till to order giving a ticket like your waiting in argos,get the food to find cold rice completely over cooked chicken definitely been cooked before and reheated extremely tough,greasy and border line inedible,

We ordered take out. The internal layout was unproffessoonal in that they made a wall of random furniture to divide the restaurant bar users from the takeout orders... and you had to shout your order across the room to the staff behind the bar. They only came forward to the 'funiture wall' to take your money. Kind of rude and ill thoughtout.
Most of the food tasted OK, but a lot of the meatier portions were served in stingy half-sized trays and mostly dry.
The chowmeins were half a tray of plain noodles with veg and meat on top... it wasn't mixed or cooked in as an actual chowmein, which was also weird and cheap effort on thier part.
The sweet n sour chicken ball sauce-pot was smaller than a golf ball, so again, extremely stingy size.
And like most Chinese take outs, they did give free prawn crackers with a large order... but you guessed it, the bag was half the size you'd expect too!
Not impressed. Shan't bother using them again during our stay in cornwall.

The best chinese! Everytime I come to Newquay I make sure to come here as a treat! All the dishes are very tasty and good portions. Only shame is the restaurant is very small and very difficult to get a table. Takeaway options good.
