Filthy cold venue. Dirty floors and radiators that were barely warm. Ladies toilet basically clean but surfaces filthy. Metal seats on a cold day chilled me to the bone on an already freezing cold venue. I inviting menu. £9 for jacket potatoes with uninspiring fillings. The place looks so dirty I didn?t risk the breakfast idea. We didn?t bother and left hungry. Ordered hot chocolate. Watery instant drink smothered in synthetic aerosol cream? absolutely vile. LOTTERY FUNDED???? Mmmmmm

Came here for a lovely breakfast on a Sunday morning. My partner had the full English and I had a bacon and egg bap. Quick service and the food was delicious. Also, my partner had the best looking hot chocolate! Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast

Excellent service and Big Breakfast. The chef "Nathaniel" cooked the best "hash browns" I have ever tasted and the poached egg, bacon, and tomatoes were cooked to perfection. Thank you Heartlands for providing a clean, spacious, theme cafe with pleasant friendly staff. I will return and tell all my friends about my joyful experience.

The girls behind the counter, did not want to help my wife who have food allergies, they said they didn?t have list of allergens in each item.

It was fairly difficult to find even with Satnav. But we got there and the cafè is lovely. Not the slickest service process tbh, but the food, whilst not generous is well cooked and nicely presented (Cornish breakfast), however the sausage 'bap' was actually a burger bun and disintegrated around the filling. The sausage itself very nice. The environment is interesting being an element if a mine. Some small notices, like in art galleries, giving a brief description of the equipment etc would be useful.Parking: Parking is in the street, which is part of a residential area. No charge is made and because folks are coming and going it's relatively easy to get a space.

Went here with my grandson while mummy had her eyelashes done and the service was great, really nice atmosphere too. The lady even gave him a peppa pig book to read, such a lovely cafe ?

They have really turned this around from last year. The breakfast was big and all cooked perfectly with good quality ingredients. The best breakfast we've had in Cornwall and good value for money. Also great coffee served by lovely staff.

I really enjoyed my visit today. The breakfast was superb. I visited several times last year and these visits were not so good. It's great to see such a turn around, new chef and front of house with lovely friendly staff. I really do hope that this lovely little cafe goes from strength to strength.

We love coming up here! I?ve been disappointed that the menu changed and the avocado on toast had been removed - the other vegan options are either massive or a bap.Luckily, today it was a special so I got to have my favourite breakfast! Please bring it back to the menu (or keep it as a special)!Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options, the team are happy to modify the menu to make things vegan where they can

We arrived on a Sunday morning on our way back from organising the Lands End 100 in Cornwall. The cafe, which is a little hidden away, is in a converted sawmill with some of the old machines still in place. The breakfasts we had were very tasty and well presented and arrived promptly. The pots of tea came with nice blue porcelain cups and the staff were friendly too.
