The staff are great. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Only open 3 days a week though - Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also has the only ATM in town! There is one at the Co-op and one at Tesco's but both are a fairly long walk away.

Wanted to change 2 x £10 notes into £2 coins, as I have done in other banks previously. Had to wait whilst the cashier dealt with confidential waste, which didn?t give a good impression as to where their priorities lay!
When I got to the cashier, he refused to change the notes unless I had a Nationwide account. He gave a lame excuse that there had to be a paper trail of where the cash came from and was going to and that I would have to pay the money into my account and then withdraw it in £2 coins, what a load of rubbish red tape malarkey!
Banks will change notes, even Tesco will change notes, but Nationwide won?t. One day hopefully the worm will turn and you will need and appreciate the people who keep you in business.

Definitely a brilliant building society bank. Staff at Redruth Cornwall branch are really friendly and helpful.

It's only open to the Public for a few days. So it's best to check of you need them. However Staff in there are all lovely and always willing to be helpful.
