What a place to have dinner! A proper castle , amazing views from the roof, quirky and original inside, the only modern addition is the windows to keep the weather out.
A beautiful venue for any occasion reasonably priced food and drink.
Well worth the rough ride to get to it.

Parking: Plenty of room. Rough track to get there. Very passable but take it slowly and carefully.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly, Wheel chair access is impossible at the castle.

Have always wanted to eat here. Food was excellent and the service was good. Just didn't enjoy the atmosphere. Staff were attentive, but it just felt like we were an inconvenience.

Definitely a meal we won?t forget anytime soon, in a very special setting! Highly recommend booking in advance and making sure you drive there with an SUV or leave the car at the bottom of the hill!

Second time here...it has to be one of the best restaurants we have ever been too. Fabulous, beautifully cooked food with a wonderful authentic taste without being overly as spicy. Amazing service from truly lovely people. Competitively priced given the excellent quality produce. Recommend lamb kebabs and arabica coffee and chocolate brownies. Great ambience in a truly unique setting. Romantic for an anniversary meal, which ours was. Thank you so much. We hope to visit you again.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, great service with friendly staff, amazing views. They allow you to go up to the rooftop terrace, and if you book a table for the evening you can catch some amazing sunset views.

Our table was on the lower floor which has no atmosphere- only 3 tables and with no character whatsoever, compared to the main restaurant upstairs - which is where the whole magical experience happens! Very disappointed. Been several times and usually the food is great but this time it felt very skimpy - mean in fact. The amount of hummus and the baba ganoush were unreal. Literally no more than a tiny spoonful scraped round the sides of the little bowl to take it look full. The 4 of us were gobsmacked! So much pitta bread to go with it, but nothing to eat it with. The rest of the meal was ok but left a bad taste in our mouths re: feeling ripped off with some of the starters - of which we had several. Very sad if this is the general rule now. I have raved about Carn Brea for many years. Unsure now if we will return.

The only saving grace is the location. Second was ok but the food was really lacklustre. Really bland and uninspiring
