Loved this place! Extensive menu with dishes from all over the world. Wonderful welcome and friendly, attentive service. We visited twice during our stay in the area. The first for dinner and we enjoyed our visit immensely. My starter of Korean chicken on a kimchi pancake was the star of the show, although the seafood boil and hake Kiev were both highly rated! We returned a few days later for a few drinks in the garden, but wished we were eating too! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting family. Car parking OK, easy check in with attentive friendly staff. Room of a good size and clean and comfortable. Up two flights of fairly narrow stairs, it is an old building, so need to bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. Great bar and restaurant, plenty of outdoor seating. Ideal position for easy level walk to harbour and beach. If family cannot put us up will certainly use again

What a lovely hotel. Me and my partner stayed here with our dog for 4 nights. We stayed on the first and second floor in a twin room then a double. Rooms are clean, beds are nice and comfy and location is good for travelling around. The food, breakfast and evening meals, are brilliant. Taco Tuesday was sensational. The shower was a little intermittent but if it is run for a while, the temp evens out. The building is quite old and stairs to second floor are narrow so would consider asking for a first floor room if you struggle with mobility. Carpark is also good although someone opened their door into my car which was a little upsetting but nothing the hotel can do about that. The building is quite noisy which our dog wasn?t that happy about but again, nothing the owners can do about people slamming doors. The only thing i would have liked to have changed is that, for people staying in the hotel, be able to sit in the main restaurant for their evening meal with a pet. Maybe just on some specific tables out of the way of other people if they don?t like dogs as we would have liked to try to main menu. We would definitely return, hopefully with better weather.

I don?t care what IAN P says the food and service were second to none, however if you are having the pork ramen I suggest wearing a bib, there were no complaints from our group as far at the service and ambience , it was delicious. Five stars from us.

A really good hotel set in the middle of Portreath with ample parking and outdoor space for eating and relaxing in the sunshine. We booked for one night in a king-size room and were very impressed . The facilities included a very comfortable bed and up-to-date bathroom and fittings. The place was spotlessly clean. The staff were very well informed and we are quick to help and guide as in when needed. Breakfast in the morning was top rate with a choice of options including smoked salmon, full English and kippers if so wished. Everything was sourced locally and hearty breakfast was had. Highly recommended. Not noisy even with a room at the front of the hotel.

Stopped here mid journey having got lost actually! All we wanted were coffees (and a comfort break). We had our drinks outside. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Venue spotlessly clean & very tasteful. The coffees were hot and truly good!

A nice surprise! After a hard day walking the coast path you need a comfortable bed, a good bath or shower and good food. The Portreath Arms provided all three and I was very impressed, especially compared with other pubs & hotels we stayed at. The restaurant especially deserves a mention, with food that I'd travel miles for. Service was great, breakfast perfect..in fact everything was. Highly recommended

Great food, choice of pub grub and restaurant menu. Really lovely atmosphere and very polite service. You won?t be disappointed. Probably best to book if you require a table in the restaurant at the weekend.

We stayed here because we were walking the SWCP. We?ve stayed at several B&Bs that were above pubs, but this was very different than all of them. It felt like a luxury hotel. I especially liked the bathrobes in the room. I think our room was above the pub, but it was very quiet. Our room was very nicely updated with a great bathroom and very comfortable beds.

We booked for an early evening meal whilst away the last week in August, we were 2 families with our 3 children (8, 8 & 4) We received a lovely welcome, great service & the food was all amazing, great quality & well priced. The childrens meals were a good size, well priced & we had 3 clean plates - that?s rare!! All of our adult courses were amazing too, lovely food & good portions. The interior of the pub was very stylish & simple yet cosy & comfortable. Toilets & facilities were clean & perfect, the hand soap & cream were lush! The bar looked great, unfortunately because we had the kids we didn?t go in. Overall it was fantastic an evening, thank you so much for you lovely hospitality! ?

We were a bit surprised that there was not a lot to do or see around Portreath. The Portreath Arms where we stayed was lovely, clean and the food was very nice could have been more too choose from on the menu but what we had was lovely. The breakfast was great especially the kippers ? nice clean bedroom but the claim up too the top floor was a bit to much for the wife in the end.

We stayed at this lovely hotel over the bank holiday weekend in late August 2022 and had the most wonderful time ! The hotel is modern but quaint too and the rooms are fantastic, with all the facilities you would expect to find in your room. Breakfast was also included and was far and away the best breakfast we've had in Cornwall !! The bar is well stocked and the staff are especially good too. I would implore you to try the restaurant as the meals there are outstanding. We were lucky enough to be there while they did their annual Fun Day, with live bands, dog shows, bouncy castles, cinema room and the grand finale - the silent disco at the end where i managed to lose my voice singing like no on could here me ( which they couldn't to be fair!) I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Cornwall, the beach is approx 200 yards away and there are some fantastic walks from the hotel too. The staff there make you fell like you are home from home and cater to almost all of your needs. Thank you to all at The Portreath Arms for making our stay the best ever ! We will definitely see you all again soon.

5 of us stayed here whilst walking the SW Coast path. The pub was friendly, the rooms great and the food in the restaurant outstanding. The pub is just behind the little harbour and the beach is a bit further on. There?s also a good bakery opposite if you need supplies. I?d thoroughly recommend a visit.

We stayed here for one night on a recent walking trip. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for supper the night we stayed, but they did allow people to bring in takeaways or have food delivered. It was a shame, as breakfast was extremely good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room had everything we needed, with a great view. Certainly a good place to stay in Portreath
