Complete lack of customer service, boarder line arrogance about this place.
We had a reservation at 6:30pm. We did not start to get food for one hour and a half, drip fed food after two enquiries as to how long the food would be. These enquiries where made after the first hour, so it took another half an hour even start to bring our food out. So it was way past 8pm before all of our party eventually had their food. No communication prior, and complete avoidance by the staff. We had two children with us and when ordering the food I asked the waitress if the children's food could come out when ready and not to bring the adults first, the adults had order sharing boards of bread and mains, and I didn't want to push the children's food back due to this. The response was rude "they will bring out the food as and when it's ready" flat in the tone, no expression on her face, I knew she didn't care what l'd asked, and no note had been passed to the kitchen. This isn't our first bad experience here, last year we came, and the service was pretty poor too. I am not sure why we thought it would be better. We had booked well in advance, and perhaps thought that in doing so the restaurant could accommodate us. As it happens they couldn't, but the upsetting thing was the lack of communication, and empathy. There was no good will gesture offered.
No apology, just a £300+ bill.
Food: my steak wasn't anything special, kids food looked ok. Fish dishes apparently nice/good.
I'm sad to say we won't be back. It's a shame because it has the everything you need to a nice meal out, just didn?t pull it off.

A very special place with a chance to sip a cider whilst sitting on the sea wall watching the sun set and last night had a beautiful meal. Gentle easy service, beautiful fish dishes and know we will be back again.

We went out for dinner a deux. The wife enjoyed her vegetable satay. My fish and chips was a little disappointing as the sauce provided was full of raw onion which made it far too pungent for me to eat. The fresh / mushy peas were nice though.

We were just grabbing some coffees from the outside takeaway but the food looked delicious and the staff were very friendly. The coffees were lovely. Thanks

Really disappointed with the food. Paid a lot of money for a really sloppy piece of fish that tasted like nothing much. Don?t bother,

I visited this place on Wendnesday , after I had a wonderfull time in Cornwall and did meet some lovely people I though I wanted some fish and chips also Port Isaac being a fishing village with incredible views I thought lets try this place, all I wanted fish and chips and a cold beer , first the chips were burned , fish too small had to ask twice for a second beer as waiter forgot but my god the bill was huge plus service chage of 12,5% on top, why? Two fish and chips and two beer with my son £65 , rubish food , great work guys just ruined a great place, we are going back to Port Isaac again in two weeks with some friend and not only never step in again but warn the others, £65 would not change my life however it seems a ripp off for some burned chips and a small fish with no salad, sorry but never again , Port Isaac it is great place to visit with some incredible views but please avoid this place so can really enjoy

Ate twice here whilst celebrating my 60th birthday in Cornwall. Both nights, the food was gorgeous. Photos are of 2nd visit for 5 people. I had the mussels and prawns in broth. 11 shells were not open but ample numbers were. Just need to remove the unopened ones before sending out of kitchen. Wine list was great. Service excellent. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. If I come back to Port Isaac, I'll return for another great meal.

We sat out on the front for a few hours, sipping beers and eating fantastic food. Staff were super chilled and welcoming. The best views looking down to the water.

Rubbish had two crab sandwiches more bread!! than crab with a very small amount of salad, the place didn?t mention service charge at 12 % (which is over the normal for such a place in the area) (others have no seri e charge) making a bread filling lunch at 54 quid Total rip off .There...
Date of visit: 6th June 2025
The service charges really didn?t cover the out of tin Crab and bread costs never this well over price sandwich.
I would never recommend this place and certainly a zero chance to revisit it.?
To be honest is should receive some kind of refund to this event.
The quality was absolutely terrible.
Fast food places would have served me better.
