Gone down the pan this last couple of years. Chiller full of downmaket lagers, no craft beers. No cream, only awful Elmlea fake cream. Shelves half empty. Does the owner not realise he is in Polzeath, not Blackpool?

Over heard the manager verbally abusing a delivery driver yesterday on the shop floor! Totally unprofessional and utterly disgusting behaviour! Only visiting so thankfully I don?t have to step in there again. But I will be reporting this to spar and the drivers company! These people go to work not be abused and spoken to like it!

APROX. 5PM. SUNDAY. Disgraceful. HYPOCRISY. Visited for about one hundredthtime, .approx tenthtimes this yearJuly / August. With granddaughter. Bought big basket of shopping got to till , (after about ten minutes queueing)halfway through ringing my items through the young dark haired male( not the one wearing the neck brace) assistant at the till said I can't give you this beer because the person who " carried the basket looks too young" I'd like to see her ID because my granddaughter had put the basket on the the checkout.I asked if he was joking and he just took the piss removed the beer and carried on ringing item.s. BTW Iam 60 years old and informed him yes she carries and pushes basket and trollies around for me. I am registered disabled.. Patronising remarks from man. Oh and by the way. On way into shop I saw A very young boy put cider on the till BUT HIS apparent adult supervising figure was not refused service. Btw. I have already contacted my solicitor for discrimination considerations. And the prices are appalling too. Thank you for nothing. NEVER ANYMORE OF MY PENNIES WILL PASS YOUR WAY EVER AGAIN.!

Rude staff, everything is over priced and queuing - so drove in Wadebridge to get some items from supermarket. Definitely won't be stepping foot in this place again... Doesn't deserve one star!

Staff are nice especially the man with the jokes and the Scottish guy. However, opening hours are far more restricted than they used to be; used to close at 10pm now 7pm. As the only food shop for miles around it is way too early in peak season.Prices are far higher than they should be too. £5 for a tiny box of strawberries - yeah right £1.20 for one grapefruit. Cornwall is not an Island - don?t charge stupid prices.

So busy here in summer and no where else to go after 6:00 except Wadebridge or pityme in inn village shop which is better?.the place has gone down hill so fast, hardly anything in the fruit and veg section and what was left was there for a good reason! I don?t think I?ll ever go back to this shop again unless it has new ownership?.. but at least I?ll get an automated response to my review!

Good shop for what you need, warning shop shut at 6pm not 7pm

Quite expensive and you cannot take dogs in where as all shops surrounding you can. Considering it is beachfront you cannot enter with wetsuits.

Went on holiday to Polzeath back in June 2022, and used Spar a few times. I have to say the owner didn't really seem to be a 'people person', and seemed aggravated all the time (especially with anyone trying to use cash). Looking at my Bank statement this month (September 2022), I have been charged for something I bought (apparently) on the 12th June - 3 MONTHS after my visit to Polzeath! Complete madness!

Good little supermarket and stocks most things but as it's the only grocery shop in Polzeath the prices are very high. There used to be a Londis but since that has gone the prices just keep going up. Also very busy during high season which is to be expected.

It?s been a couple of years since we visited due to covid, on this visit we had (the saying is had our pants pulled down) totally. Went in for a few essentials and came out £30 lighter. When checking receipt. £1.49 Heinz bb, small block of cathedral cheese £6.15 (million dollar cheese now known as) and some cheep baked nibbles £.2.49 (99p at home). Surprise surprise, these items were not priced or had a pricing on the shelf. Left feeling totally violated, so booked a tesco delivery with everything we needed for the rest of the week. Spar, you let us down I?m afraid and this means I will avoid all future local spars too. People be warned. Be careful and price check as you go to avoid nasty surprises

Went in today to buy BBQ food, there were multiple packs of burgers on the shelf that were grey and oxidised and sausages with mould growing in the pack. Needless to say we left without purchasing, but I was pretty shocked by the disgusting condition of products!
