Exceptional family-run restaurant in the centre of Polperro which we booked by phone. Carefully crafted menu with seafood emphasis but plenty of other options including kids and vegans. Food and service both top rank and a particular pleasure in watching the family at work in the open kitchen and the whole place was spotlessly clean. They happily welcome dogs.

Bad manners, bad food, overpriced and not open to any feedback if is not 100% positive. This is backed up by every reply to anything even slightly critical on reviews. Maybe an off day, as other reviews are pretty good, bit humility costs nothing:]

Booked this restaurant after reading all the good review. When we arrive we were the first person arrive at the restaurant and they sit us near to the WC.
We order a chowder and scallop. Chowder was sweet and i found a tiny hair in it while eating. As i eat is just sweet taste and very dilute with cream,it is not pleasant at all. I carry on as did not like to make a fuss about it. Scallop was ok given the price and you get huge portion for it.
And when the main arrive i was looking forward to taste it only to let down eith huge dissapointment. I order the this week special a lobster dish. The description was cheese sauce bake with bread crumbs with lobster. Sound delicious. But it taste horrible,as i dig in to eat instead of lobster it was filled with tiny prawns and a few piece of lobster bits which taste mushy and not fresh at all.The sauce is actually some cheese flavour water so dilute and watery and was not edible at all. I have to leave the dish,and they have the audacity to charge this dish for £34. The salad on the side was bitter and no dressing.
The other dish we order was hake,it says bake with cheese. Again is just not very nice and with some sad looking vegetable on the side.
Is a shame because it has high review and we actually books months before our trip and was really looking forward to this. We left with huge dissapointment and it leave a bitter taste after consider we pay for alot of money for food that taste so horrible in polperro.

After many attempts to book Michelle's over the years, we finally managed to get a table and happy to report that the long wait was well worth it.
We enjoyed every course, and the luxury fish pie and Lamb in particular were delicious. Very friendly service was a bonus. Hoping to get another table before 2030 ?

We had Sunday lunch here and the food was so well cooked and so plentiful. The waitress picked up a hearing issue of one of our party extremely quickly and spoke clearly and facing them. Also checked our needs. Excellent service.

Had the most amazing Sunday lunch here recently. Absolutely blown away with the quality and portion sizes. Fantastic service and lovely location. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back for an evening meal.

Had a fantastic dinner at Michelle's in Polperro on Wednesday evening. 8 of us and every one of us enjoyed our meals. Generous, tasty portions and speedy service accompanied by lovely wine and fantastic hosts. Thanks so much Cilla for fitting us all in during our stay.

EXCELLENT in every way! The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented well with a good choice of potatoes or chips.. I had the crab and prawn cocktail (on the specials) , followed by lamb with veggies and dauphinois potatoes which I highly recommend .The staff are lovely, and to say how busy they were our food was served quickly. Be sure to book well in advance (we have already booked for next year)? Thanks so much guys!!

A fantastic family run restaurant in the middle of a beautiful historic fishing village, Polperro. A great warm welcome upon entering. The food made with the best quality ingredients and tasted delicious. A great warm lively atmosphere and to finish great homemade deserts. Highly recommend a visit.
