A truly fantastic week staying in their pod named Barry, which is immaculate. We have spent time at the Polgooth Inn on numerous occasions for both drinks and food. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and extremely dog friendly. The food is outstanding and we highly recommend the dog food menu for your furry friends. 5 stars for both the Pod and pub, what a hidden ?. We will be back.

We went to here as we visited last year. The food tonite was basic for the price. Burger and chips( no side salad ect....) it was served to quick and not thought in it's presentation!!
Menu very limited too.
Won't go.there again .?

Staff were amazing and accommodating, we hadn't booked and rocked up at 6pm - we had been walking in and around Bodmin with our dog all afternoon so weren't the cleanest of people, not was our dog.
Great menu, we had the chicken schnitzel and Veggie dharl, finished with apple crumble.
Specials - A dog menu, which went down very well.

I don't usually complain about food, but I ordered fish and chips. It arrived lukewarm at best, peas barely cooked, chips were fries, fish was slimy and had the consistency of cheap supermarket bought fish. Waitress seemed to have an attitude from our initial order. We heard good things about this place, but certainly won't be returning. At least they deducted the meal from the bill.

Such a beautiful old pub. Traditional as you can get. The place has history, the decors and aesthetic are old country pub. Perfect for a pint and they have a good selection but the food is where it's at. So far I have had the ploughman's. This is was amazing. A beautiful pork pie. Home made, hot pastry with what was pork shoulder filling. Added with devils eggs etc. Fantastic. I have also had the burnt ends which are also so tasty. The chicken wings in a hot sauce. Perfect. Just the right amount of crisp and a very good portion size. All the portions are fantastic. I have had the chicken schnitzel. Again, a very tasty meal.
Now the service!! Well it is fantastic. A very lovely team, polite and efficient. Amazing table sizes and bar service.
The place is a gem. Highly recommend.

Superb food , superb staff so friendly , always come here when we are in Cornwall , always make a special effort and defo worth it. Hard to find but when you get here your glad it is as it does get busy , lovely place too in quiet surroundings . Very good on Price too , they defo could charge more for the huge portions .. well worth the visit ..

All pubs should be like The Polgooth Inn. Best welcome we?ve ever had to a pub. Fantastic service and very tasty food. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and patrons. Will return when visiting again.

Called in for late lunch on Tuesday 12/08 after some sightseeing. Was warmly greeted as we arrived and offered table service. The Inn is in a beautiful setting with lovely views and I really enjoyed the atmosphere sitting outside in the sunshine. Our drink and food orders were taken and then delivered quickly and we really enjoyed the quality food. This was my first visit here , I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. Many thanks
