Outside tables were filthy, menus grubby with mug stains, tables hadn't been cleared of used crockery and weren't cleared all the time we'd been there, ordered a crayfish and prawn salad , the prawns must have swam away, two lettuce leaves, some cucumber rind and a bit of tomato with the smallest crayfish I've seen, in my opinion over priced and over rated, to be fair we also ordered the grilled seabass which was fresh , I wouldn't make a point of eating there again.

What has happened to the menu? In the last couple of times I've been here the menu has changed quite significantly and is no longer offering the same options as it used to with the lunch menu. This is a great shame as it used to be plenty of options and the sandwich options used to be outstanding but now it' feels like dave trim the options right back. I hope this change is again soon because we really used to enjoy coming here but last couple of times it hasn't felt the same.

Visited while visiting my son in June, Had a full Cornish breakfast, although we arrived at opening time for breakfast mine was dried up like it had been on a hot plate for hours it appeared nothing on my plate was freshly cooked.
I've had food in previous years and it was good, I can only assume chef has changed or had a bad day

First time eating here whilst waiting for my son to finish an appointment. The service was friendly. However the food was shocking. 2 x scrambled eggs on toast. Bread was barely the shown the toaster, eggs still raw in places. Really put us off.

Grigs Restaurant is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome right away. The food is flavorful and well-prepared?especially the seabass and the coffee cake, which was warm, soft, and perfectly spiced. Service was smooth and attentive without being too much. It is a great spot for a relaxed but high-quality meal. Highly recommend! We will be back to try breakfast!

I've just got home from our Christmas lunch. The food was delicious. Definitely a 5* experience.
The customer service was amazing. One person stood out for us. Josh you have been outstanding. Nothing at all was too much trouble and you went above and beyond. Thank you so much, you are an absolute credit to the Griggs restaurant team and they are very lucky to have you!

Obviously having a private function affected your service towards other paying customers. Had to ask for coffee, toast, which was continually being burnt. Breakfast was expensive and poor quality. Very disappointed!!
