Great value pub, with beer garden in centre of Perranporth. Pints are only £5.95, burgers £9. Friendly staff and live the St Ives IPA

Great setting on the beach. The range of cocktails were good and also very good quality. They even made us a few that weren?t on the menu.

Visited here after seeing amazing photos on.line ,not quite what I expected? very busy due to school holidays which is understandable, but very chaotic and not was I was hoping for ,food was average and the fries were absolutely vile ?dry and horrible, would not eat here again ,messy tables with pizza boxes piled up all over the place condiments not topped up ,empty and messy sauces everywhere ,toilets not attended or cleaned bearing in mind the amount of traffic coming through at this time of year ,definitely need more staff ,especially during June to September, I wont come back as pictures on line not a true representation ?but beautiful scenery

A really cool bar situated right on perranporth beach. The food was lovely and plentiful. However, the toilets were not a highlight and it seems as though they get a lot of traffic from everyone on the beach throughout the day; more frequent cleaning is definitely needed.

This was a great place to grab some food while on the beach. The dirty fries were very nice.

The Watering Hole on Perranporth beach is a popular spot. At high tide the sea comes very close to the large outdoor seating area. It frequently has live music events to which dogs are not welcome but are welcome at all other times. There are bars upstairs and downstairs with a large veranda. The newly built extension contains public toilets and an outdoor shower for beach goers. I have docked one star only for the fact that customers need a fat wallet when visiting. It is far from cheap. A simple Doombar will cost £5.30 per pint. There are other bars close to the beach but they also are not cheap.
Overall the Watering Hole is a great asset to the beach, as a local I just wish it was more affordable. Great for holiday makers for food and drink, pleasant views and dog friendly. Just make sure you have plenty of money.
