Top pub, great food and service. I've no idea how Mr Martin does it but it works. Real ale is kept in exceptional quality.

exceptional service from staff, wanted to leave a review to credit izzy specifically. She went above and beyond to serve us whilst keeping everything running smoothly in the pub, food was to standard and everyrhing came out very quickly.

Great location.
You have to pay for parking.
Unfortunately, the beer garden looks over the car park, which is not picturesque. And the seagulls are a known issue, the netting doesn't keep them out.

It's a typical spoons but with a pay car park and of course, as is the case in all spoons, No dogs. What's not to like about £2 a pint 3 days a week and occasionally £1.49 per pint. Large indoor seating area and a larger outdoor seating area. Watch where you sit to eat, the seagulls can be a nuisance.

Upstairs was roasting, air-conditioning was no working, and no windows would open. The food was terrible meant to be a gourmet burger. There was nothing gourmet about.

One of our children cut their foot open in their beer garden this evening - we told their bar staff and requested first aid and they refused to offer any assistance on insurance grounds. I'm pretty sure this is in direct contravention of the HSE laws for such a public premises. The staff need retraining ASAP. We had to do our best with blood pouring from his foot until we could get him to my car so I could administer first aid from my own kit. I am incredibly disappointed and appalled by the staff's reaction to this type of injury.
