Went to Perrin Sands in touring caravan. The site itself could do with some work. Facilities were ok, clean enough but could be better. Some of the Safari tents were in need of cleaning on the outside, cannot say what they were like inside. Friendly staff at the first point of contact.

Well not due to be there until tomorrow but spent time with head office on phone a month ago explaining my wife is disabled can not walk to well. When I booked was told to contact park and they would arrange an accessible caravan. Called the park was told no accessible vans available. So I said no problem make sure we were near my brother so he could help me with my wife. Was told no problem. Well today we got our caravan locations mine is the furthest point from the entertainment complex and my brothers is right next to it no were near us. The daily life of living with a disability is bad but when you try to make sure your trips away are hassle free and do everything possible to make life easy for your visit then you are total ignored leaves you feeling like second hand citizens. Why talk to people when they take no notice of anything you say. My advice would be stay at home were you feel comfortable if your disabled because people just don?t understand how hard it is for you and don?t really care. I?m done with trying to beg each time we travel to be treat with the same respect had able bodied people

We arrived 15th September, 6 adults for 3 nights, and I honestly can?t describe how disgusted I am with the conditions of the caravan, and also the way the complaint has been handled by Head Office. Listed below are the issues found: I completed the ?check in? cleanliness tico list on the app on arrival (however discovered additional issues after submitting it, which led to me emailing head office. I was hit with the usual generic jargon, all tied up with T&Cs, and basically informed that they weren?t able to offer any compensation since I didn?t tick the box to be contacted on site. We left a full day early as couldn?t stomach it any longer. The issues included: - Children?s underwear?s with excrement!!! underneath one of the single beds. ABSOLUTELY vile and not acceptable. - Dried cheese/crumbs in the top shelving of fridge - Crumbs in various cupboards - Crumbs underneath the microwave and the toaster - A few smaller marks on the bedding both in the master room and the smaller bedroom - Large marks on the ?clean set? of bedding that was provided for the double pull out bed - Grease type brown drip marks covering the back of the master bedroom door - Brown mark in the en-suite toilet wall next to the toilet roll holder- this I DREAD to think what it is, however suspect it may be related to the underwear mentioned above!! - Tomato juice and a dried spaghetti hoop running down the inside of one of the lower cupboard doors - Various dirty hand marks all over the windows of the caravan - The grill pan was dirty/unwashed - Hob was greasy and looked like it hasn?t been cleaned. - Cobwebs and just general uncleanliness. My advice is don?t waste your money, and certainly don?t expect any sort of professional response when a complaint is made to head office. £195 absolutely wasted, as if times aren?t hard enough!! STAY CLEAR!!!

Arrived Monday 18th September for a Monday to Friday break. Caravan was lovely and clean. After a day of travelling we decided to sit down and have a family meal. There are five of us and the caravan only had 3 plates. I went to reception who said someone will bring some more over. Well no one did so we fed the kids first, then myself and my partner ate after using the kids plates. Went back to reception the next day and finally we had more plates bought over. But the caravan was lovely and tidy, the pool was lovely and the kids enjoyed it. The restaurant surf bay was amazing. It was the best meal we had for a while and the offers were great. The staff when we were there were lovely and friendly. The kids enjoyed exploring the sand dunes. The park was clean and tidy. The store was well stocked and had everything we needed. Was lovely to have a dish washer in the caravan so we don?t waste precious family time having to wash up after meals. Would definitely love to return again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We booked basic caravan but it was lovely and had everything we needed. Food on site was really good. We tried most of them with no problem. Just beware of Fish and Chip shop as they tried to rip us off. The woman on the till didn?t seem to know what she was doing. She said it was cash only and then tried to charge us £30 for a meal that I had worked out to be about £18. When we asked her to check again she said it was £26. We walked out and went elsewhere.

Our weekend break at perran was nothing short of abysmal, from start to finish (which was premature) I have been in nicer smelling dog kennels than this so called caravan. It was disgusting and uninhabitable, the fact we had paid money to stay here is laughable, It smelt like a wet dogs toilet. It was impossible to sleep in there (I was on the sofa bed in the living area with my girlfriend and 1 year old) no one wanted to spend anytime in what should have been our family social area, even the dog elected to sit in the car boot over being in the caravan. I ended up sleeping in the car for the two nights we stomached staying, we left early as the thought of a third night was unbearable. The parks attempt to resolve this issue was shockingly poor, sending a cleaning bloke who to be fair was more understanding and real than anyone else on site, his task was impossible and to let us know that no other exchange caravan was available. He put a fogging machine going for an hour which in truth only made matters worse. It was never going to deal with this smell. I have travelled the world on a budget and this experience was the worst I have ever experienced. Haven should be ashamed of themselves for even attempting to use this caravan as accommodation. We were there to make family memories due to a family illness but all haven did was steal our precious time and leave nothing but a bitter taste and anger. I looked at havens mission statement ?From the warmest welcome to the see you again soon, our mission is to give our guests a great time, with memories that last a lifetime.? Laughable the worst welcome, stinking uninhabitable caravan - no great time had, not even close, see you again soon, not a chance I will not be giving haven a further penny, with a one year old there was high likely hood of visit after visit but not now, NEVER, I?ll go elsewhere. Memories ha ha yeah it will last a life time but memories for all the wrong reasons. Haven have managed to deviler the polar opposite of their mission statement. We were refunded one night which is nothing short of an insult. Save your self from going through this for yourself, book elsewhere, pick a reliable company not one that states one thing but delivers nothing even close. The complaint procedure is nothing but a joke, the response pretty much amounted to thanks for the feedback. The worst customer service and complains response. Pointless having a complaints procedure if your not going to do anything about the issue.

We turned up to find the caravan in the most disgusting state. There was dirt all over the floors, the cutlery had dry food all over them, the shower was disgusting with grime and mold, the radiator was covered in rust and dust. There was crumbs in all of the cupboards and over all dirty. Went to reception to complain and all they could do was send the cleaners back in but as I explained I didn?t understand how they were going to remove rust and mold. They really didn?t seem bothered by my complaint or the complaints being made by 2 other guests about their accommodation. The staff in the surf bay are very overwhelmed even in the quietest of times. We ordered a meal and drinks and the drinks only arrived 10 minutes after we had finished our meals despite being chased up 4 times. Feel very let down by this haven as we have had great experiences at other sites. Please think twice about booking this site as dirty caravans and poor customer service seem to be the trend. Come on Haven sort it out!!!

We were given the most disgusting standard of cleanliness upon arriving here. We had what looked like a poo stain on one bed, stale food stuck to the microwave plate, hairs & grime all over the bathroom floor, stale milk left in the fridge, it didn?t even look hoovered, only the beds had been made. The bedding was washed but I think the stain that looked like poo was on because they dump the new sheets outside on the grass outside each caravan before changing. It was really disappointing to have to hike to reception to get it sorted after being travelling all day. Reception were not of any fair help to the guests either I?d say. Nobody was willing to step outside of what the company policy is & offer any decent fair customer service to sort it, we were requesting another accommodation that was clean. But apparently in the T&C?s we agree in that situation they can have 2 hours to do a re clean, while we wait, & we have to complete a form in reception first to request this. Whoever decided that is a fair solution to an already unfair situation on the guest has no understanding of customer service at all?! It was 7pm when we finally got it cleaned & had dealt with it all, after arriving for check in at 4pm. It still wasn?t cleaned properly either, there was dust & grime in areas that had been there weeks, but just the obvious has been done. We would never return to this park, I?m left shocked they would give someone a caravan in that state, they need reporting to health & hygiene actually. I won?t rebook to Haven now either since the policy lecture & treatment we received at reception to resolve their own mistake was just so inconvenient. Pointless person who was apparently reception manager as she was of no help at all, & her demeanour was just frustrating the situation further. We then spent almost £30 in the on-site Fish & chip shop for 2 fish, chips & peas, & it was like a fish finger & chips kids meal! Such a poor standard & rip off portion. I?d defo say avoid this place.

Stayed on the touring site. Instructions received just the day before said to check in at touring reception. When we arrived a sign on the door said touring reception was closed for the season with no instructions of where to go instead. I eventually found someone who could direct me to my pitch. I pointed out the sign issue. He said he didn't know why the sign was there, but left it anyway! No internet signal whatsoever with either O2 or EE. Not Haven's fault but nothing whatsoever in their site information to let people know. On the plus side, good facilities, but drinks expensive, site clean and fantastic for a walk into Perranporth

Look, it is what it is, a caravan in not the height of luxury but for £500 for a week based on the cusp of that beach it was a real bargain. Miles of gorgeous beach and rolling crystal clear waves. Excellent proximity to Perranporth which can be accessed by road or a walk down the beach at low tide. Enjoyed walks through the dunes directly off our pitch and endulged in many a happy bbq. I'm scoring harsh here but I've got to deduct a star just for litter. We did see litter pickers around the main facilities but they mustn't go between the caravans because there was loads of it around ours and our friends' caravans. Cigarette ends, cotton buds, empty toiletriess and general bits of plastic. Our main window opened to a view of a long abandoned kids paddling pool, an empty carton of cream and some broken bits of parasol. To be fair, we did laugh this off but it let down an otherwise beautiful site.

We stayed on the touring site in a motorhome. The site is large. I found the toilet and shower facilities very poor. Showers only stay on for 3 seconds, so constantly holding button down. Don?t have an issue with this type of button, I use similar at other places like my local pool, but this was a bit extreme. Buttons were heavy and my 6 yr old struggled to do it so I had to just stand holding button in for him whilst he showered or else water immediately went off. Only one socket for hairdryer in there. Run down and skanky overall I thought. The pool was very disappointing. I?ve seen some lovely haven pools but this one was very basic. The steps up to the water shoot were like something from a horror movie - rusty white metal, dirty and old. The shoot itself was also quite manky as you went down it. The pool seems old and again just quite manky and run down. It?s also small and gets booked up fast. If you don?t plan and book a load of swims wks before you go, you won?t get in. We only got 1 swim during our 3 night stay, which turned out to be fine due to the pool being so basic. Clubhouse was all fine, enjoyed the 5pm bingo. Drinks very expensive. Only one proper sit down restaurant on site which is just a Wetherspoons really, with a different name, food wasn?t great but of course it was overpriced. Didn?t really see much happening around the site during day, climbing wall was closed each time I walked by, maybe nobody books it though. Beaches are great in this area as with anywhere in Cornwall, cannot fault the beaches. I personally think haven are aware they have a great location here so just don?t bother putting in the work to offer decent facilities. Would not return.

Ok, we stayed in a standard Chalet 204, dog friendly. Although there is enough room, just it is small for 5, and a dog. family members stayed in the none dog chalets, and their living rooms were twice the size. The chalets could do with a little update and be a little cleaner but we did find out the cleaners only get £12.50 per lodging cleaned so they are under the cosh , but there is not that bad overall sorry I didn't take any pics of our chalet. The park is lovely. Some of the staff are rude, though in the surf shack, more so slamming food down and such getting you odeedd wrong but blame you ?. Be ready for empty pockets though 3 kids and 2 adults for a round of drinks 22/24 quid a wind and a pint £13.60. And £4 for a small bottle of ketchup ? The beach at the site is beautiful, and there is a shack/shop there run by haven. I never seem it open in 10 days, but it's defo worth the walk down, but it a 20 hike back up, not easy with beach stuff Overall Pros = site, location facilities pool, slide, gold, etc. very good Cons = some rude staff, lodgings not cleaned up to standards but do complain they will send cleaners back, cost of the bacis Hope this helps

Cannot fault this campsite, we are touring in a camper but the facilities for both the touring site and caravan site are amazing, shops and restaurants and takeaways all on site, the entertainment is fantastic and we were so impressed at the cleanliness, there was someone cleaning all day in the shower and toilet blocks, we have been to a few sites now but this one is up there in our top three would highly recommend, if your travelling with children it is totally geared up for families we will definitely be bringing the grandkids next time ! but even if like us your travelling as a couple there?s enough to do will definitely be back !

If I hadn't been to Perran Sands in 2021 and I read the reviews on here I wouldn't of come.... Perran sands is a lovely Haven site perfect for a family looking to experience a cornwall holiday at a low cost. I booked a bronze caravan for 7 days and we have no complaints. Caravan was fairly new, clinically clean and situated at Crantock view. We had no complaints about the caravan and for the prove it was very good value for money. Campsites a while was tidy - no rubbish and is well maintained. The shop is a Nisa Coop and as you can expect with it being a co-op process compared to your Lidl or Aldi but has most things you need. Staff are very friendly - the old boy at the doors handing out baskets is a asset to Haven! Pappa Johns is what it is. Slim Chicken is actually very good! Chip shop I wouldn't recommend (go to Perranporth for your chips) but all can be delivered to your caravan promptly! It is a fair walk to the beach, but Perran sands beach is very quiet compared to Perranporth and is life guarded. It is beautiful and kids love it, just be prepared for a long walk back up hill..but that's part of the adventure right?! All in all the bad reviews I feel are very unfair. 2nd time to perran sands and I would say it is better and have no issues recommending this place if you want a week I'm a decent caravan, on a well.mainted quiet site for under £1, 200. Top tip - do not pay for extra for the swimming pool and entertainment! Swimming pool isn't worth the extra money, beach is much better!!

Our caravan was a sea view and was absolutely beautiful! We arrived at 11 and to our surprise the caravan was ready which was amazing. The caravan had a few issues such as, the linen had some very noticeable stains and a hair in the bedding. We also found a coke can in the overhead cupboard. We also didn?t have a hairdryer in the caravan, we went to reception and they told us we should?ve. It soon got delivered which was greatly appreciated. Apart from that it was the perfect holiday. We went to the surf bay restaurant and the staff were so accommodating and the service was so fast! The staff at the Beach bar? Were so lovely and really up for a laugh. The evening entertainment was very enjoyable. Communication with the park was great , we had weather warning texts and when the pool was closed for the day we also got a text. Overall great stay, thank you :)
