After a very poor and painful experience elsewhere, that left one of my my vintage guitars in a very sorry state, I contacted Jules, who stepped in and did the job properly?with the care, attention to detail, and professionalism of the master craftsman he is. Communication was excellent throughout the process.

Phoned AM made appointment that afternoon. Just bought guitar with very poor action.
Julyan assessed a raised neck. He shaved front portion of bridge and ramped strings at bridge. He adjusted truss rod and set action at saddle and top nut replacing strings.
Cleaning and polished.
I left 90 minutes later with a very playable guitar all for £80.
Brilliant service. Will definitely use again.

Had 2 of my guitars set up today by The Guitar Doctor. A 2022 Gibson LP standard 50's, and a 2012 Epiphone LP Ace Frehely Budokan custom. Jules spent time checking them both and adjusting them to exactly how I like them - I could feel the difference immediately, and he explained every step as he did it. I spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour watching the Master at work and chatting all things guitar - Well worth the trip from Liskeard and definitely recommend his services, your guitar is in very safe hands and his prices very competitive

Jules is a master at his craft. Spent a very pleasurable hour and a half stood watching whilst he set up 2 of my guitars and explaining what he was doing whilst he did it. I learned more about guitars in that time than in my entire life. Excellent service and very reasonably priced. He'll have all my guitars from now on, I won't be going anywhere else.

A guitar I have played for almost 40 years got a Jules refret. Back to her old self again. I had fretted for months about finding the right person to trust with my old friend, rang Jules on the off chance and he worked around my imminent holiday in Cornwall. So fellow musicians I urge you to drop him a message and get great workmanship for a reasonable sum and a touch of Repair Shop gossip.

Julyan did a fabulous job repairing my Mandolin which required the remake of the bridge not available on line. He has a very well equipped work shop and Julyan himself is very experienced, knowledgeable and pleasant professional. He completed my repair on time and within estimate.

Excellent 1st class service as you would expect from people that work with musical instruments. A string change, clean and a few adjustments has made my lovely Ibanez 'Parlor' acoustic sound fabulous and made me a happy guitar player.I would highly recommend Julyan at the Guitar Doctor for anything guitar related. Total five star service from a genuinely nice bloke that really knows his stuff. Restoration of a 1920s shield mandolin that belonged to my Gt Gt Grandfather. Unplayed, no strings and left in multiple cupboards since the 1969s it was time to hear what it sounds like.
