Supermarkets in Penzance, Cornwall

“Was in this morning shopping with my partner and our 4 year old son who has severe learning disabilities. He was very impressed with a machine that was washing the shop floor. The man who was driving it was kind enough to stop and let my son look at the machine and showed him how it works. I have seen the man a few times but not sure of his name. He is always very respectful towards the Sainsbury’s staff and the customers. It’s always nice to see people being respectful and looking out for each other. If the person who was washing the floor this morning sees this. Thank you so much for your kindness and taking the time to talk with us. Not many people will make the effort but it’s highly appreciated.”

“It's a Co-Op. Large enough to feed arriving sailors and well visited by the local inhabitants. Opening hours far exceed everything in this area. They do sell fresh produce in the morning.”

“This is in a great location for a quick shop after a visit to Acorn Theatre. Often there on a Sunday so a grocery open til 11pm on a Sunday is great. Just remember to put a bag in your pocket before show! ?”

“What a brilliant shop and post office. We visited twice and found everything on our shopping list, post a letter and withdraw cash. Very friendly. Would recommend trying this rather than travelling to Penzance for shopping if you are in this part of Cornwall.”

“Store is in a weird tucked away location but is big enough stocks a lot staff are friendly and happy easy accessibility for less abled people car park over the road lift next to shop to take up to main road market Jew street”

“I've submitted an edit. It's not a superstore (not by name on outside, nor selection of stock. I found limited variety compared to other tesco stores and definitely not as much selection as tesco superstores elsewhere. Helston is larger too, from memory, if near enough on your travels.
It's OK but not great”

“I prefer this one as it's bigger,there's more choice. It would be better if the items on the shelves that are gluten free were all in one place and clearly advertised,makes it easier to find. It wouldn't stop me from walking around the shop,there's always something to see.”

“Had excellent support from a worker in customer services kiosk called Mandy Hutchens. She went the extra mile sorting out my more card credit after my card failed to work in store at the time of payment. She was patient and diligent and very responsive to the issue. I made a point of returning the next day to ask her name as I was so impressed. Thank you Mandy.”

“To all the people moaning, activate your club card before you go in the shop it's not t their responsibility to provide you with WiFi 24/7, also I've never had any problems with the checkout staff they've always seemed polite and helpful. Too many whingers and moaners.”

“This is by far the best co op in Penzance! You can always find everything you need and they have a good vegetarian range too. I never have to queue here because they have 3 self service tills as well as a row of cashiers too.”
