If you want hassle while posting your parcels, then come here! It's the only place in Cornwall that you'll be interrogated about the contents of parcels already endorsed by Ebay or Amazon's prepaid labels. They'll then try to flog you unnecessary 'extra cover' for something worth a tenner. Unpleasant..

Awful. Went today to return some curtains to Amazon using the ?no packaging required? feature, where the post office are meant to package your item for you and the man at the counter refused to package them together because they were in two separate wallets, even though they came together in the same box originally (because they are CURTAINS!). Went outside to double check I hadn?t messed up anywhere and they did infact need the same code, and went back in but he then said no, even though I showed him I was right, because he had already sealed one of them in the bag but not the other and just left me to sort it out because he wouldn?t unseal the incorrect packaging he?d just done?Had to call and be on hold to Amazon outside the shop to get a separate code so they?ll now have to be sent separately even though they are a pair because he was being purposefully difficult, go back to scan the new code and he had closed early for lunch, so I had to wait outside in the cold for him to reopen. He was utterly disrespectful and unprofessional. Expected better from a Post Office, will be using the Londis down the road in future for returns to Amazon and would recommend anyone else to do so too!

Edited as I recently returned and the guy seemed helpful to the customers. There is also a photo booth in the shop as well as stock such as stationary and confectionery. This post office is very close to bus stops and 5 mins walk to the train station for those who use that.

Jason is an absolute tool. Definitely on the fiddle. Save your money and go to Mabe for a stress free friendly service which wont rip you off.

Not sure if the staff at this post office have a personal vendetta against students but reading these other reviews I believe the poor customer service must extend to the majority. The impatience I received off of a lady working there regarding the contents of my parcel was appalling. Her impatience was the first thing that was noticeable and then to talk over me when I asked what the rules were to send a parcel with contents of alcohol, I was welcomed by blunt responses that spoke over my questioning. She snarled at me and talked about this ordeal to the next customer as I left the shop: I believe her professionalism needs retraining. Falmouth Post Office treated with me the upmost respect, explained the ordeal perfectly, and we came to an understanding of how to send my parcel. Their patience and knowledge was impeccable. Maybe Penryn could learn a trick or two off of Falmouth.

This is such a good post office. Every time I have been in there whoever is behind the counter, and it's usually a man, has been so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and he is extremely friendly, courteous and polite. While queuing up I have always been impressed how friendly and helpful he has been with other customers too. Lucky to have such good service in Penryn.

Terrible man. Constantly trying to upsell. Rude and snappy. Snarled at me when I didn?t tell him what the contents of the parcel was straight away. I sent a special next day delivery parcel at 2.30pm to arrive the next day. When it didn?t arrive the tracking said that it didn?t leave the post office until 4.30pm the day after. I think he held it back just to be horrible. He has done this before apparently.

When I first came to Penryn, I was warned about the disagreeable man in the post office, and now I absolutely dread having to go in there! The man behind the counter delights in being the most unhelpful he can! I have returned Amazon parcels that don?t need to be wrapped, and he tells me I haven?t wrapped them properly! I?ve returned Royal Mail parcels where the email states that the post office will print the label, and he refuses to print it even though there is a printer behind him! I?ve tried to buy things from him, and he has said that he only accepts cash? who carries cash these days?I really don?t know what is wrong with this man, or what can be done about him?but he is definitely in the wrong job!

Had to return a package, the re sealable part lifted in one corner of the package (where the glue wasn?t 100%). When I arrived to return the package it had lifted. The woman on the counter told me I need to buy sellotape to return the package. I asked if could use some of theirs and she told me it?s not for customer use? I thought the whole idea of a post office is to help people with their post. I?d understand if I had a huge package but the box was about 4 inches long and it only needed about an inch of tape to stick the loose corner down. Out of principle I left the post office as she made it clear she wouldn?t take my package without purchasing a whole sellotape. Very disappointed as penryn was my ?go to? post office? anyway i popped in to Mabe post office just after and they were so helpful. Much kinder and took my package and sorted me out with the inch of sellotape I needed.

I was a bit put off by all the bad reviews of this post office but I've used it a few times and I can't fault the service.

While very lovely people I?m sad to say that I think the staff here are briefed to say packages have no compensation when in fact they do - this isn?t the first time it has happened.I just returned an item from an online merchant with a FREE prepaid returns service ? the sticker that printed out at the post office clearly said Tracked 48 (which has £100 compensation and tracking as standard) but the lady behind the counter tried to upsell me more compensation for an additional £4.45 and claimed it wasn?t a tracked service. Naughty !
