Interesting setting - in a windowless former Christian chapel. The low lighting/candlelight makes for distinctive ambience.
The tradition here is to eat with you hands. No cutlery.
I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child, and still love it. It's a become a core tradition in our Summer holidays to Cornwall.
This year, I took my daughters (7, 11, and 12) for the first time, and they loved it too.

Have been here a year ago when visiting Cornwall and was delicious then but just been back again and had ribs as last time and really tough also desert was 2 meringue nest bought ones stuck to the side of very cheap ice cream not good at all also waitress asked we wanted to look at the desert menu then never came back so I am afraid gone down hill from last time

We go here regularly as it's the best meadery even though it means we drive there. The owner and staff are lovely always very welcoming and friendly. food has always been the best and we find it cheaper than any other meadery. would recommend every time.

very disappointed, was put on a shared table with strangers,was rushed to eat are food. scampi was over cooked to the point my husband couldn't eat it. Not what it use to be like. will not be going again

Made the mistake of getting a takeaway from here. It was vile, my brother asked me if it was a hamster? It had been cooked numerous times, when a business serves up this sort of food, the writing is on the wall?
