Lovely gluten free Sunday roast. Great yorkshire pudding

We had Sunday roast here and it was absolutely fantastic. There were four different meats on offer plus a fish course and the meal was superb, a great variety of vegetables and the desserts were out of this world. The staff are very efficient and really friendly. I highly recommend the Trewellard Arms for food, there is also a great selection of very well kept beers. Visit this pub you won't be disappointed!

A lovely traditional pub with proper food! Dog friendly, the publican was very welcoming and we enjoyed our meal. We visited on a Tuesday evening walking in without a booking just before 6pm?food served from 6pm so perfect timing!
Meals were excellent and the beer delicious!
Definitely recommend this pub ? there is even a little library inside if you want a book with your beer ?

Proper traditional Bub, for everyone, solid English cuisine. Fish with cheese sauce a bit heavy, a no-go in more southern countries, but that's a matter of taste. Friendly service, fast. Also with tables outside.

Great little village pub. Had a big Sunday roast, delicious! Got chatting to the barman and some friendly and helpful locals at the bar.

Surprisingly amazing quality. The soup and sandwich we had was flavoursome, ham was just good for us as we don't like the very salty ones. Salad came with the sandwich was so fresh that I can feel the crunch of every bite. The owner told us they get the local produce grown from nearby St Just. Highly recommend if you are around the area.

This was definitely a game of two halves. It's a pub and the beer was good. Served well by the landlord, a smashing fella, but not so good by younger staff.
The landlady...rude, scruffy, sullen.
In fact, all the staff needed to be smarter. Does it affect the beer? No.
Does it affect your opinion? Yes.
An ironed shirt goes a long way to looking clean and respectable.
The pub, a dump. Sticky tables, a pet hate of mine. And the toilets, shameful. The outside space, unkempt, messy, full of broken flowerpots filled with dead flowers. The lobby filled with junk, including a carpet shampooer. Carpets so worn they were black and shiny. Doors that looked like they were decorated for Halloween as they were so black and dirty.
A visit out back to use the toilet left me feeling cold. It was filthy!
It left me wondering what our food would be like. It was lovely.
The pub boasts a 5* food rating. I don't believe it, but I was assured by another customer that I wouldn't be disappointed with my food, and I wasn't.
A roaring log fire gave the bar a warm glow.
Like I said, A Game of Two Halves.

Absolutely first class Cornish pub!
Superb range of delicious local ales, all kept in tip top condition.
Food is excellent, great specials board and normal menu ingredients all locally sourced and served by very friendly staff.
Martin the owner is a great friendly guy and Christmas day was just lovely! ... in fact the whole pub was very well decorated with christmas decor everywhere!
Doggy friendly and highly recommended!

Had a lovely meal at their Thursday Fish Night - my husband had the John Dory fish and I had Haddock, honestly the best fish and chips we?ve have had in a long time.
If you?re in the area and looking for a traditional Cornish pub, we would highly recommend. A good selection of beers and great service.

Kiwis traveling the uk. Have spent 4 months travelling and this would be one of the most unfriend landlady we have meet. We went to see if we could watch the rugby after a bit of a joke about saying her dog said we could as we just meet him down the road with a lovely guy walking him. She said without looking at us . didn?t know if she could get it but the nice bar man put it on for us and we sat down with a drink . We also said if they needed to change to the football that was fine. At the time there was only us and another couple . The land lady came down turned the tv over not even a word to us or even a look at us . The other couple said they were happy to watch on the other tv and she said no this one is better . Then she looked at us and said I have to change it as I advertised it to be on. With that they turned the other tv off and the couple moved to watch the tv we had been watching . Not even I?m sorry or would you like to watch with sound down on the other tv to us. So we finished our drinks and left . Politeness was differently not her best quality. We have found all of the English, Irish , Scottish , welsh to be friendly and chatty except for 3 people and she was one of them .
