This was a magnificent pub with the very best kept ales in the area. Previous incredible managers retired, new managers took over, but were let down by St Austell brewery and the Radjel is now shut for the foreseeable future.

Lovely traditional Cornish pub under new management. Brendan and Vicky look to be the perfect match for this hidden gem. Lovely. This was the perfect pub for a pre-Christmas tipple with family. Lovely building, comfortable, warm open fire. We?ll absolutely be going back.. terrific..Parking: Free parking in village car part a 2 min walk away.

Called in for a drink. Disinterested landlord could barely make eye contact with us. No attempt to converse and mumbled thank you as we left. There was no one else in the pub, I?m not surprised. We won?t go back.

Nice friendly pub. Enjoyed a few drinks in there 16th-22 June 2023. Pendeen is a lovely village to stay in , I've spent many years as a child here but even better when you can go to the pub. Dogs were welcome too. Staff were nice. No food available at that time. Will go back again.

What a cracking ale house. Doesn't do food but serves some wonderfully kept St Austell ales. You can bring food in if you're hungry. The chap cleans his lines regularly and it shows. Quality ale. The lady behind the bar is very welcoming and friendly with lots of knowledge about the history of the pub. Regulars are good fun and very friendly. Has pool table and two dartboards. Coat hooks on bar. Open from 4pm. Highly recommended ? ? ?

Most of the locals were welcoming, hosts were fine. Downside was the rip off price for a pint of Carlsberg Green. Typical St Awful price.

Love this proper pub! A place to get a drink and a packet of crisps and watch the Grand Prix - excellent!

Landlord is miserable and clearly does not actually want any customers, take a walk 5 mins down the road to the North Inn and you'll receive a friendly welcome and a great beer

Lovely traditional pub with 5 of the St Austell ales available on cask. Other pub in village only had two. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming and we had a great time on the nights we visited. Also took covid seriously with sanitizer and notices to wear masks when not seated which was nice.
