“Visited for lunch in the bar. Wonderful and generous sharing platter for two with sole, sea bass, 4 large battered fish goujons, calamari, salad and a bowl of skin-on fries. Fresh and well cooked. Reasonable value in Padstow at £50. A pint of Brains cask ale and a large glass of sauvignon blanc added £13.90. Recommended. Be cafeful that your pleasant shaded table outside won't be in full sun before you leave.”
“Booked a short break and overall it was perfect. My only criticism is with the afternoon tea. Yes it is a fabulous tea but personally I think they should offer the tea away from the main lunch bookings. In our case, this was a celebratory tea for our wedding anniversary but we were seated by a large party of people with children having lunch, so the atmosphere was not great. Also, because it was busy, it was quite disjointed service wise - ie we received the champagne first, then the pots of tea arrived and nearly 30 minutes later the sandwiches/cake arrived. Personally would be better to serve together. Just an observation.”
