Travelodge Newquay Seafront is a solid, budget-friendly choice for anyone wanting to soak up the seaside vibes and be right in the heart of Newquay. If you can snag a sea-view room, you?ll likely wake up to unforgettable views. The welcoming staff, contemporary rooms, and excellent location make it highly recommendable?especially for short city or beach breaks. Just pack ear plugs, and be prepared to use nearby parking.

With all respect to travel lodge hotels, this particular one in Newquay was one of ever so poor experience. For the price of 170 pounds per night hotel room had that dirty windows you can barely see coast line view! It felt disgusting to look though it! Toilet paper was that thin, I had to fold it 8 times and still it let though! I ended up buying my own next day. In the room wasnt any flat surface to use as a shelf! No side tables, no cabinets, no wardrobe, no shelves, absolutely nothing! We had to keep our clothes and toiletries on the floor! When we entered our room upon arrival, our duvet was in a plastic bag on the floor, we had to make our bed! In the toilet wasn't even a cup to rinse mouth, shower gel dispenser above bath wasn't working. Despite breezy and mild weather during out visit, hotel room was very hot and sticky, no conditioner. When we were in, we had to keep the door open to let a little draft through. Hotel is placed above Aldi shop, every early morning we were waken up from people shouting and kids screaming and arguing that bad that puts seagles in shame! Despite of generous room size, we were family of 3, TV was that small in size, they had to place it over larger size of wooden board to make it look a bit bigger! We had to listen it instead of watching as from the distance bed - TV we couldn't see much. All these outstanding pleasures and conveniences cost us 170 pounds per night. On our leaving at reception was a noteboard with little box - no need to say goodbye, just send you card door key though letter box! All these made us feel almost humiliated. Very poor and unpleasant experience.

Average. As you?d expect from a Travelodge however the room was unbearably hot, even on a day where temperatures were lower than usual in August. I wouldn?t have the heating on that hot when living in the artic ?

Stayed here during the summer when it was very hot. Downside was that there was no air-conditioning. No car park either.
Plus side. Great location and very nice staff. Would definitely stay again but just not during the summer.

Arrived for check in and greeted by Patricia , who single handed looks like she runs the hotel ( can?t fault the staff and how hard working they are ! They deserve a medal )
patient and friendly who helped sort parking and checked us in
Prior requested a sea view for my birthday and got 131 ( slightly dirty window but expected due to the position)
We had a family room with two beds , very spacious but also very Warm due to it being August thankfully had a fan and even with the window open was quite uncomfortable but not in it long just a place to rest our head or get ready before going round town
Perfect as it?s dog friendly and Basic but all you need , know what to expect and had a pleasant stay with a Convenient location
Slightly noisy on the alley but again to be expected and nothing could be done as the window stayed open due to the heat
The restaurant is small so recommend going early and the team again are rushed off their feet but do their best so be patient as it can be stressful for them
We dined for an evening meal and can?t fault , super tasty and caters for a wide range of dietary and I?m vegan and to my joy had vegan chocolate cake which is very rare with ice cream !
We also had breakfast on the day of check out to set us up for the journey home , great selection and have many breakfast and dinner deals worth checking out

Well where do I start . They don?t have parking so when u come 5 and half hours in car u have to circle round to find a spot to park. Than go with suitcases upon and down hill . Than u come to hotel and opens room where the heat takes it out of u completely . Tiny dirty window and no air con? tiny fan on table suppose to cool the room down all it does its spreads hot air around. No WARDROBES to put clothes in no where to dry clothes no hair drier . Bathroom tiny bath so high thank god I have no physical problems . Shower curtain not effective shower tap broken? divining room so small for the amount of rooms in hotel and was fully booked , ended up sitting on high chairs every morning . I cannot book the room u want for example sea view ? When I mentioned all these things on booking out the receptionist from Ukraine was rude telling me that she is there 10 years and never had air con? well ? I don?t really care how long you were there it is for customers and it is essential these days . And how it is not efficient for what 8weeks a year to put an air con? well went to other old hotel for dinner and as soon as stepped in air con was on lovely atmosphere and felt much better straight away. So I think Travelodge needs to look after guests as we won?t be returning for sure due to all these ?

Absolutely unacceptable stay. The room was filthy, smelled unpleasant, and lacked basic necessities such as clean drinking water or even soap to wash with. The bathroom handle was broken, adding to the overall discomfort. The conditions were unhygienic and extremely disappointing ? a truly pathetic experience.

It was ok, a Travelodge with an onsite bar. Good location, no parking (so your have to pay in a council car park).

Overlooking one of Cornwall?s most iconic coastlines, Travelodge Newquay offers a simple yet satisfying base for exploring the town?s beaches and seaside charm. Our beach-view room was the star of the stay ? from sunrise light spilling across the sand to the hypnotic sound of waves rolling in, it?s a setting that transforms even a modest room into a coastal retreat.
The staff were warm, approachable, and consistently accommodating, quick to offer help with directions, local recommendations, and any small requests. Their friendliness added a personal touch that elevated the stay beyond standard chain-hotel expectations.
Breakfast was fair and functional ? a selection of hot and cold items that covered the essentials, though not aiming for extravagance. It?s the kind of morning start that?s practical for travelers eager to head out and explore rather than linger over a long meal.
Travelodge Newquay doesn?t pretend to be a luxury resort ? it?s honest, straightforward accommodation with the unbeatable bonus of a sea view and staff who make you feel welcome. For those seeking a clean, comfortable, and well-located base at a reasonable price, it?s a dependable choice.

I?m just going to start this off by disclaiming that I?m a professional cleaner and my room?s bathroom definitely qualified as a biohazard. I?m also not a frequent reviewer but this experience was so poor I felt compelled to warn prospective customers about it.
I arrived last Tuesday to find pee inside my toilet. I thought maybe the cleaners had forgotten to flush it after use and didn?t want to complain to the staff (who were lovely and definitely not to fault) over what could have been mere human error. It was also my birthday and I didn?t want to sour the day with confrontation as this trip away was my treat to myself ? upon reflection, the room was definitely not worth the money and not raising this issue only burdened me further.
So I flushed the toilet and went out for food but, when I came back later that night, I found even more urine and fecal matter inside the toilet. This kept on happening and it quickly became apparent that the longer I spent outside my room, the more build-up appeared in the toilet when I returned. I?m under the impression that anytime someone in the neighbouring rooms flushed their toilets, the sewage drained into mine. This, alongside the pubes on the bathroom walls and the blocked sink, made me feel so uncomfortable using the bathroom that I?d wait until I was at a local cafe or bar to relieve myself.
It also bears mentioning that the bed was so uncomfortable and firm that I never got a full night?s sleep and kept waking up with parasthesia. I definitely didn?t get my money?s worth, especially considering that I paid more for this room than I would have at a local hotel, but I want to reiterate that the staff were lovely and I hope Travelodge isn?t dehumanising them the same way they do their customers.
The photo I uploaded is just what I found the first day I arrived. I?ll leave it to you to imagine how much more disgusting this got as the days went on.
