DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!Owner cheated us out of £250 by lying to Sykes Cottages about damages to a pool table that was already there when we got there.One of the most recent reviews on here is from someone with the same surname as the owner of the property!The owner refused to speak to me directly about the issue and hid behind Sykes Cottages, who were absolutely awful to deal with.Ruined our holiday.

Needs a wee bit tic, update decor a bit.But rooms were lovely, except my toilet seat was broken, but beautiful house.

Lovely staff and a lovely place to stay. Close to town and close to beaches, dog friendly and really helpful owner. Fully reccommend to anyone who wants a stay in Newquay.

My only comment is regarding their policy, I booked to stay 3 nights from August the 15th to The 18th (we?ve been saving to have this little break for me and my son) made reservations but then my Son wasn?t feeling well and had to change the date to the 26th. checked availability and is was available so I submitted my requestThey declined my request to change the date and charged me £103.00 although I didn?t use the room and they hired the room to someone else. on both dates 15th and the 26thThey told me it?s their policy that I agreed to prior to bookingbut policy it?s their to protect both the company and the clients. They had no loss because they hired the room to someone else (i checked and is no longer available on the 15th) and still took my money that I?ve been saving for to treat my son to little break before next school term start in SeptemberThey told me sorry, they?re fully booked till end September and their business was also affected by COVID-19 and they need to recover unfortunately they will take my £103.00The whole world is affected by COVID but we shouldn?t plan to recover by ripping othersIf the room remained empty, I would have no issue to pay but they hired the room and charged meHow come their policy can allow double profit (immorally wrong)
