Dropped in here for a takeaway lunch and although we had to wait , and drink our coffee, the result was probably the best cheese and onion toastie we have ever had. Well worth the wait!

Traditional homemade Cornish Cream Tea. Atmospheric building with lots of history. Very reasonably priced. Stunning food. Will definitely visit again.

Had the most lovely time in the Old Pilchard press cafe. I went with my two young boys and Harriett was super friendly and helpful. We had her deliciously freshly chocolate cake. There were toys, story books and drawing books and pads to entertain the kids. Highly recommend!

After several rainy days, to buy some really good sarnies and cake from ridiculously friendly people was just what we wanted: off to the benches by the harbour to watch the world go by. A delightful discovery

Called into today for a snack for lunch. The food was excellent, as was the young lady that served us. Would highly recommend if you are in Mousehole.

Incredible cosy café and amazing find in the village! We were really grateful to find somewhere to have an amazing coffee and that accommodated for a few vegan options too! This can be quite hard to find in some places in Cornwall so it really meant a lot to us!The staff are friendly, the lady who runs it is very warm and friendly and this place was a real pleasure. They serve breakfast, sandwiches, cake and excellent hot drinks. The place was full of character and so close to the harbour too.

Visited here today, greeted by friendly Lady assume she was the owner. Food was really good. Only thing that let the place down was the unfriendly attitude of the male employee,he also may have been owner? He was abrupt, kept looking at his watch waiting for us to finish eating, as I think it may have been closing time, when we asked if we could have some more Tea, he grunted ? well I can put more water in your tea pot? I could hear the lady owner voice her displeasure at the way he had presented our cream tea! She told him she wouldn?t serve it that way so god knows he must have just thrown it on a plate! Such a shame as it was a really quaint little café. He should not be customer facing at all.

Quaint little cafe. 10/10 service & food. Friendly family run business and the cream teas are like my mother used to make. thank you

We visited The old pilchard press cafe in May this year and returned again this September. Last time we had scones with jam and cream and raved about how good they were. Well we weren't disappointed this time, these scones are absolutely fantastic. None of the stodgy supermarket rubbish, these are remarkably light and don't fall apart at a glance. They're really worth trying if you're in the vicinity. Can't recommend enough! Mind you, got a bit of a disappointed look when I put the cream on first, oops!! ?

We went with our four year old and had high tea and ice cream and then came back two days later because it was so great! The food was really nice and home made, and there were lots of options for kids. The waitress and owners were so friendly and welcoming and we had a great time. They were so good with kids too and there were lots of children?s books and colouring in to keep her occupied. We will definitely come back again!
