Spontaneous visit for lunch, 3 adults 2 kids. The fish and chips was excellent, very well presented piece of fish. 4 of us had the ciabatta rolls, the crab was delicious, and the special was mackerel with chilli relish which was perfect. The Cornish cream tea was amazing also, the scone was warm and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent, would definitely recommend lunch here.

Please avoid this place,
We ordered crab after we paid they told us if we want something else to replace as they don?t have enough,
We ordered drinks,the water and the beer where so hot that we couldn?t drink and the advice was to give us a glass with ice,beer with ice cube what a joke!?also they missed to put lemon at one plate

I would not recommend this place only if you want a hot beer in a hot summer.

Went in at lunch time about 6 six staff milling around , we were totally ignored for about 5 mins couldn't get anyone's attention. Lost out on over £30 of custom , clearly not interested in customers

Dropped in for an ice cream milkshake at £5 and have to say pretty disappointed. Milkshake was warm and somewhat watery. Not sure why but I'm guessing the 2 scoops of ice cream were still in the mixer and not in my milkshake.

The cream tea scone was way too hot !!?? Had to wait 10 mins when cut open, steam rising? Before I could put jam and cream on.

Overpriced. We ordered a couple of portions of 'Fish and chips' to take away. After a decent wait, out came some over-fried oven chips and a small piece of cod. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

Went in to get a takeaway pasty, was given a receipt and told to wait outside for my order which was surprising as there were no other customers waiting and four girls were behind the counter on their phones!
The pasty was awful, supposedly locally made which means they are bought in and reheated as required. The pastry was soft and the filling resembled an over baked mush of potato onion and turnip which had no identifiable individual taste. Found one small bit of meat which you couldn't taste as it was covered in the mush of filling. £5:50 - an over priced poor excuse for a pasty.
