I ate a delicious chowder as a main, followed by their homemade pie with custard. Both were excellent. As was the Otter Ale!

Spent three days in this area and the best pub food by far was at the Globe Inn. Fabulous chowder was as good as any I’ve tasted in the States. Will be back. The service and hospitality was second to none. I can highly recommend.
The Globe Inn is a 13th century, warm and friendly freehouse, popular with locals and visitors alike due to its reputation for excellent food, variety of real ales and the quality of its Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Delicious, freshly prepared blackboard specials complement the extensive menu and are served in the restaurant, bar area and secluded patio garden, each of which has its own special atmosphere.
