Oh my goodness....these people don't deserve to be in business. I was shouted at, not to stand in the door because I was blocking the breeze. I was just looking at the menu on the wall. My dog was next to me, not in the shop, all 3 workers shouted at me to get him out and shouted 'we don't serve dogs'. My partner asked for something that needed putting in the fryer as it wasn't in the racks. He was told 'I'm not putting anything in for you, the fryers are full'. At this point we walked out. Got back and read the reviews. So many saying how rude the staff are. They are beyond rude. Can't comment on the food, as I'd rather go hungry than give those horrible people my money. Evidently they don't read the reviews, or if they do, they don't care, which is even worse. The award for most disgusting service goes to 'the country fryer'. Think a vowel needs taking out of the first word!!?

Only chip shop in the village.. but I strongly advise co-op meal deal..
spent 30£ for a family of four and we?re still hungry portions were minimal, extremely rude owners.. we even spoke to the locals about it and the were very apologetic towards us and has been known in the village for years

When this shop is busy they manage the queue quite assertively as the shop is small, possibly adds to some of the bad reviews about service, but they were friendly enough to me and other customers while I was there. Chips were OK, fluffy potatoes meant they were a bit dry and not crisp despite being fresh out of the fryer. Most orders were being cooked to order when I went, including chips, so was a bit slow to be served just 2 portions of chips despite it being 6ish and there was a bit of a queue out of the door as a result. I was grateful for the chips and locals obviously use this fish shop regularly - thanks.

The cod and chips were stuck together in a messy pile, sweaty and greasy, I wished I had taken them back, but I couldn't be bothered. They are definitely the worst fish and chips I have ever had.

The staff are rude. The shop itself stinks of dirty chip oil. The food tastes like the shop smells. Don't go there. Very poor experience.
