A nice enough hotel breakfast is really good the rooms are clean safeThe bedroom walls are paper thin so you can hear people snoring and talking in the next room. They only service your room if you ask them so remember to askThe bar is minimal with no draft beers and a £2.75 bottle of cider selling at £6The evening menu is limited, the soup was the same for 6 days and there is no evening restaurant on Saturday and Sunday nightsRooms: Ok but they only get serviced if you ask the receptionist

Convenient location off the major road.Parking is at the rear of the hotel with overflow parking as well.I often stay in hotels and the major complaint or observation about a room is that it isn't designed for modern life. Plug sockets are often on the other side of the room.....not helpful as phones are now used as an alarm clock and keeping them on the other side of the room on charge isn't the best. Not the case here!! There was a total of 6 USB charging points so a good amount for charging multiple devices when travelling as a couple. Changing the plate fitting is the solution, but those hotels that don't want to invest in adapting to how we live these days will soon be left behind.Comfortable stay, helpful staff. I didn't have breakfast but the menu is attached here. Something for everyone..Rooms: The rooms were comfortable, had plenty of plugs for USB cables to change your phone and portable devices. These were next to the bed, so useful for keeping your phone on charge and acting as an alarm clock in the morning.

I have stayed here a number of times for work. Both in busy summer periods and quiet winter. Always excellent service and spotlessly clean rooms.Rooms: Clean and bright with comfortable beds

Great hotel. Lovely staff. Will stay again. Dog and wheelchair friendly. Had a meal Friday evening, the main was fine but the sweet was not nice, which was a shame, but that's my only fault. The room was spotless and enough room for my power chair. We never needed the heating ,but it was there if we did.As a wheelchair user I found it easier to get out in the carpark , at the rear, and trundle round to the front entrance for the ramp. It's better than trying to unload on a busy road at front of hotel. It is dark at night so a torch is a good idea. They do lock the front doors at 10pm but if you call when you get back the staff will let you in.I would recommend. My only surprise was that it's only a 3star I think it deserves better.

A genuine FIVE STAR ? REVIEW.The hotel is ideally located to access a number of beautiful local beauty spots, Fowey, Padstow, port Issac, the list goes on!The local town of Lostwithiel is a bonus and fun to explore. The management and staff are genuinely friendly and can't do enough for you. The building has a beautiful restored Cornish stone front and the bedrooms are warm, modern and comfortable. There is a heated outside pool if you are feeling brave enough in the autumn months. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I can't fault this place and will definitely return. I have no hesitation in recommending The Fowey Valley Hotel.

A hidden gem (literally!) We have driven passed many a time and not realised its right there on Lostwithiel Main Street! Perfectly located to explore the whole of Cornwall. From the warm welcome to the call after we checked out, (to let us know we had left a phone charger behind) the whole team was brilliant. Super warm, friendly and professional. The rooms are modern, clean and well maintained and equipped, including power outlets that have built in USB outlets. Excellent tea & coffee facility (Cornish tea & coffee). Beds super comfy. Bathroom full of complimentary items, extra large bath towels and a shower pressure that massages as it cleans!Breakfasts were amazing. Lots to choose from, whether hot or cold. The hot breakfast were delicious; full English, smoked haddock with poached eggs and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. Many thanks for a great weekend. It?s sounds cliche, but we will be back and bring other family members.Rooms: Well maintained and equipped including power outlets with built in USB outlets.Nearby activities: Amazing local Indian restaurant in the township. Authentic dishes, full of flavour, reasonable prices and super friendly staff.Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast, great range of choice & variety including smoked haddock.

A very warm welcome from a clean, well looked after and equipped hotel slightly off the beaten track. Other than the spectacular rain couldn't fault
