Very nice place to stay. The food is lovely the staff are great and it's great for commuting around the area. It's like a little base. We've been to Looe and Fowey and we are going to Polperro tomorrow. All in a long weekend and nothing more than 30 min drive from here.

Went in for a late lunch as we were driving past. Welcoming and friendly, big portions, nice setting. One kids meal was - very slightly - late, and it was taken off the bill! Very generous. Well worth a visit.

Lovely pub in a beautiful area, just stopped in for a couple of pints. Lad behind bar was a really nice and chatty northerner, great selection of drinks and the outdoor seating area is lovely and spacious with lots of seating options. Massive carpark also, definitely recommended place to call in

Had a really nice meal here whilst on holiday. We tried the sausages and mash. Sausages were really tasty and so was the mash. Served with fresh vegetables too. Staff were very friendly.

Called in at last minute for food and was warmly welcomed and told there was a bit of a wait. Not a problem, had a drink and while drinking our orders were taken. The food was lovely. Big portions, hot and delicious. Had the pie and it had big chunks of steak plenty of thick gravy. Would advise booking as it gets busy during the holidays.

Wow, absolutely superb! What a lovely pub. A very relaxed atmosphere, the staff were second to none and the food was just incredible. Will definitely be returning for another visit. Many thanks.

Lovely little pub which we found whilst we are holiday in the area

Our meal was excellent,especially my beef curry (I?m so sorry I couldn?t eat all of the extras!)
Our sons steak was perfect(Thankyou for his salad bowl) and my husbands gammon was good too
Waiter and waitress were lovely too
All in all a realy pleasurable visit,we are glad we popped in

Saw this pub when we were driving past from our holiday park so decided to call in this afternoon to have a look at their menu for dinner
Lovely welcome from the young man behind the bar who served us drinks and brought us the menus to look at
I saw beef curry on the special list and decided straight away I would have that
Got chatting to the chef about my choice,he said he was going to change the menu and take it off but would sort it for me
We boooked a table and returned at 5.30
Same warm welcome from our waiter and we were shown into a lovely little dining room,complete with table cloths and a flower on the table
Drinks were brought to us and we ordered our food (we asked for a few changes to my husbands and sons meals,no problem at all feom the lovely lady who took our order)
The curry was absolutely beautiful(I?m so sorry I couldn?t eat all of the extras you kindly provided)

The pub has changed hands since our last visit so we weren't sure what to expect.
Very friendly warm welcome from the gentleman behind the bar on our arrival.
There was no problem with finding a table and the menus were brought over and our drinks order was taken.
The lunch menu is quite extensive and there was no problem swapping the side salad for chips with the Lasagne. Food order was taken promptly.
The food when it arrived was very good. The Ham Egg & Chips was excellent as was the Tuna jacket potato ( the amount of Tuna was excellent). Unfortunately the chef got timings slightly wrong and so the Lasagne didn't arrive until the others had almost finished.
Didn't stay overnight so have no knowledge of the rooms.

Family evening meal. Extremly good and delicious pub food, freshly made, good size portions. It's a gem of a place. Staff and service excellent. Large car park at the back. One downside, they stop ordering food at 8pm. Worth the drive to the pub for the food.

The normal range of pub food at relatively standard prices, but the staff were nice people to interact with and that makes a huge difference in the enjoyment of any pub lunch in our view, we will visit again.

Went in as staying in nearby village , booked a table .Nice menu ordered chicken coujons and husband cheesy garlic bread .My coujons came out really hot and very nice , but husbands cheesy bread never .The meals came out I ordered jubilee burger asked for no chips or onion rings as I don't eat them asked if I could have a side salad was told no I don't think so , hubby had steak and cheesy chips was bought out .Certainly didn't order them I said it was cheesy garlic bread which was suppose to be his starter .I asked for a plate as mine came out with loads of chips , onion rings and 2 other overcooked crispy things , took that of and started eating meal wasn't offered any sauces , husband asked for mustard no mustard .Coleslaw was awful , burger nice but where it was all piled on my plate put me off .When I went pay bill was told cheesy garlic bread was free and apologised as far as I'm concerned to late .Sorry don't know what problem was but wasn't exactly busy .I work with food and feed people everyday but service was awful .
