Stayed in Owls Nest Lodge over the new year. Fantastic ! Comfortable , warm ( as the weather wasn?t kind !) very well appointed. The en-suite bathroom plus the additional bathroom was really good as 4 adults were staying. They even supplied a Christmas tree. Fully fitted kitchen and dining area. Home from home. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. NY eve lunch at the hotel was superb and as for evening event. One of the best I?ve had. Live band ,friendly people & great hospitality. Was the perfect way to finish the Xmas break. Thank-you ??Nearby activities: Great for accessing the Cornish south west coast if you?re travelling from further afield.Food & drinks: Sunday carvery is a must in the restaurant.Noteworthy details: Very friendly staff.Great location.Lodge is very well appointed

The resteraunt, hotel and holiday lodges are set in a beautful location just outside of Liskeard. I had a sunday roast in the resteraunt and i was very impressed by the quality of the food and polite service. The holiday lodges are very modern and have all the ammenities needed to make the stay extra special. I have stayed here twice now and would definately come back again. The hotel is also next to the holiday lodges so theres food, drinks and an open fire to enjoy. Just a 5minutes drive into Liskeard shops and tourist attractions.

Love this Hotel, the staff are so welcoming and helpful, the rooms are really clean and modern, the food is delicious and if that's not enough its located in beautiful surroundings and steeped in history, it really is a hidden gem.

Last minute extra night to our holiday booked in one of the lodges. The lodge was exceptionally well equipped, spacious and very modern with all mod cons. The manor is situated in a very quiet woodland and has Pony?s on site and Peacocks roaming the estate. We are in the evening in the restaurant which was also excellent - Crevettes, mussels and sirloin steak were all excellent and fairly priced. The staff on site worked exceptionally hard and couldn?t do enough for you.

Nice location, shame about the cocks... Of the pea variety, in their HUNDREDS. Large room and tasty breakfast but not a peaceful night's kip listening to amorous peacocks who start early. Our breakfast waitress confirmed it was a busy time of year for our feathered friends, but alas no apology.

We stayed at the hotel in August 2023. Plenty of parking on site, a very friendly welcome. It's a country hotel but not at all snobby - young lady on reception was great, checking us in quickly and booking us in for dinner and breakfast. We booked room 2, double room with balcony. Room was very clean, 4 poster bed and double doors opening on to a nice balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Bathroom and separate toilet all very clean too. Bar prices aren't the cheapest, but a great selection of drinks and our host from reception served me with the same great sense of humour - turns out we both have the same view of cucumber in gin! ? For our evening meal we selected some starters from the menu. They came out in about 10 minutes and were absolutely delicious. You can tell that the paté and scotch eggs were home made and the mini breads freshly baked. Meal for 2 including a glass of wine came to £32, great value and very satisfied. We'll certainly return here, it's a great atmosphere at reasonable pricing and not far to travel of you want to explore into Cornwall.

After a harrowing start to our holiday, with 40mph winds destroying our tent, we were very lucky to find refuge in Owl?s Nest Lodge at Great Trethew Manor. It?s brand new and absolutely beautiful! The layout, the decor, the comfort, all of it is gorgeous! On such short notice we could only get one night in the lodge but I would honestly live here if I could! I can?t recommend this place enough. The grounds are gorgeous and all the other lodges here look lovely too. Amazing place! So glad we found it! And I love all the peacocks roaming about!

We only dined at Great Trethew Manor & Country Hotel for Valentines day. I can only comment about the delicious foods, cosy place, good service and the staff are friendly and accomodating. It was my son's belated birthday celebration too. It cost me a lot of money but its worth it!?

We (family of 4, children aged 14 and 10) stayed for one night at Great Trethew Manor. It was a really relaxing place to stay, set in beautiful grounds with a generously sized family room enhanced by a four poster bed and chaise longue! The woman (unfortunately I never got her name) who checked us in, served us dinner and breakfast was an excellent host - friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The peacocks that roam the grounds make this a unique place to stay - we loved spotting them in the garden, on roofs and in trees. Also, for families, it's worth mentioning that the hotel is very handy for the Adrenalin Quarry.
