It's a shame to see the Garden centre in a poor state, and looking so tired and unkempt, early season I know!.. but messy.. Thank goodness for Café fleur to liven it up!!

Lovely food but don't go too late as the food runs out quickly, especially the favorites. Friendly table service.

We thought the Goldenbank Nursery felt somewhat tired and a little underwhelming from our perspective. The timing of our visit and late season may have contributed to this view. We realise these are tough times for running a business, but it seemed as though investment was required to bring the operation up to modern standards. Nonetheless, we wish the owners well and hope they can continue to provide a valuable service to the local community.

Arrived before opening, looking forward to a vist. Let the kids out of the car to stretch their legs in an empty car park and was confronted by a male who opened the garden center gates to tell me that the children MUST be confined in the car until opening as the car park was a public space and had a house next to it. Apparently my children walking around the PUBLIC car park offended him. I was out of the car and with my 2 children for the duration and when my 1 year old toddler walked towards the private garden, I told him it was private and walked away. We decided to leave and take our business else where as we noticed that a sign on the door stated that children were only welcome if kept under control, making me think that children are not really welcome!

A small but intimate garden centre with a great little café. The food was fresh plants were reasonably priced and the staff were friendly.
