Lovely independent jewellers, very good customer service. Lots of variety for gifts, so would recommend having a look and supporting a local business, so they will be there for many years to come ?

Hard to even give them one star but it is the minimum allowed. Bought a yellow gold 20'' spiga style chain, hallmarked 375. It broke after 2 days around 2'' from the bolt ring clasp (while a jumper on).Went to see them and they said we had broken it, which we did but it should not snap this way.Went to see other jewellers and all said it was due to structural defect, bad quality. In the end for 150 pounds we bought another one from a better jeweller.Avoid this shop.

I would avoid Robertsons, particularly for any repairs.I took a bracelet with a broken catch for repair and the lady was initially helpful saying she could fix it. She put on a new clasp but then qualified it afterwards by saying it might break. It did indeed break within one hour and I almost lost the bracelet. When I went back to complain she initially said it must have might been my fault because I yanked it. Not true. She then said they only offer credit notes not refunds. I complained and said that the solution was inadequate and I would like my money back.Eventually she agreed to give me a partial refund because I managed to return the clasp that she put on the bracelet. The holding ring I had lost when it broke so she deducted £3.50 for that.In my opinion if a jeweller offers a service which does not work and the repair fails within 1 hour they should give a full refund.I would avoid Robertsons. For any jewellery repairs you'd be better off going to Elkerton-Smith near the church as they know what they're doing.

A lovely, independent jewelers with a nice selection to browse through. The staff were friendly and welcoming, clearly new their stock well and were happy to help.Although I didn't buy anything in my visit I'd certainly recommend giving them a look if you're jewellery shopping as they've got plenty of options for most things you could be looking for from what I could see.
