We visited early evening. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and in a delightful spot. I had buttermilk chicken burger which was delicious. My husband had Chicken Tikka and rice. He said it was the nicest Chicken Tikka he'd ever had. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful.

It's expensive but good food and drink in general but at £6.80 a pint we'll take our business elsewhere in future.

I had booked a table for dinner, the staff were really friendly. During our meal three different staff checked to see if everything was okay. We had a drink afterwards felt really uncomfortable (though we shouldnt be there) as staff were cleaning and vacuuming around us.

I've been a few times before and the pub is located in a decent spot with a great view slightly annoying with the traffic noise though. However in my opinion the food was too expensive which was one of the reasons for not ordering. £11-14 for a sandwich with crisps/salad on the side not even side of chips does seem to be a bit steep.

Beautiful location, can't fault it.
But we visited for a Sunday carvery. We ordered a small adults priced at 15.25.
We were served our meat and Yorkshire pudding. We were also served the vegetables too which a young lad was serving them.
I think he needs a lesson on portion size.
Because he only gave us literally half a spoonful of peas and carrots and cauliflower cheese. We understand the meat being served to us but vegetables are not expensive, we would have at least expected a spoonful of each.
This seems very stingy and tight.
Sorry to moan about this but everyone expects value for money.

Lovely place to stay , it is obvious that the owners try to add luxury where possible and have high standards for their guests staying with them. The views from our room were fantastic watching the tide flow into the estuary was fascinating as it changed slightly every day. Lots of different birds visiting the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The old quay house was a central location to look at several different attractions around Cornwall with easy access to St ives, Carbis bay and lands end as well as the towans three mile beach which was 10 minutes drive . We would definitely return.

Great place to go for dinner. We took our little one and the bonus was they had a great outdoor play area.
